I have worked with three people who very suddenly had stage 4 cancer - two died within a month, one lasted 8 months. All seemed perfectly healthy beforehand, one was literally mountain climbing the weekend before she was diagnosed. The two who died quickly didn't even get treatment options, it was straight to palliative care and making them comfortable because they were so riddled with it. I agree it's jarring but highly doubt it's the weird conspiracy as some seem to be making it out to be.
