Welcome back and welcome old and new Fellow Darkish!
The Swamp is the map that we thought of proposing to you for this end of October, in perfect theme with the holidays of these days.
A thin mist pervades the area, and the gloomy and humid climate persists throughout the year, as if a curse had struck these lands.
The smell emanating from the water and the earth is full of a strong iron-like aroma that clings to the bottom of the throat of those who breathe the air of the Swamp for a long time

MAP DESCRIPTION:
Everything about this area screams at us to pay attention among these muddy lands, whose murky waters hide a thousand dangers.
The destroyed and dragged carts in the mud and the numerous human remainsaccompany us as we go deeper following the tortuous paths that lead us to the woods.
Although you can walk in the low dark waters, the mud clings to your shoes, making movements difficult.
Bones pop out of the ground as soon as you move it, and the plants make it easy to get tangled.
Hag, crocodiles and who knows what other oddities are just waiting to attack those who will not be smart enough to stay away from this ghostly area.
On the opposite side, where the trees thicken, you can find strange fetishes hanging from the trunks, as if to fence off the surrounding forest.
Is it a way of inviting not to enter, or on the contrary those objects have been placed there for some reason by those who have every interest in attracting some poor wretches?
NOTES:
- The Swamp offers the promise of creepy adventures. Searching for clues among the remains or trying to cross it, the party could be attacked by countless creatures, and the pools of mud create problems moving agilely on this map.
- The objects and remains immersed in the muddy pools can be a great excuse to make the party face some more monsters, when they start to investigate around, especially if their goal was to find a particular object lost in one of the chests.
- Technically, the waters are low and all adventurers touch easily, even if the terrain is Difficult. Nothing prevents you from creating some deeper areas as an additional trap 👀
- The fetishes hanging from the trees seem like a clear sign that something intelligent lives in the forest. Are they cursed? Or contrary to appearances are they protective and benevolent objects? The choice is yours.
