Welcome back, old and new Fellow Darkish!
This week's map is the winner of the May Poll, and this time many of you requested that we create a classic arena. We worked hard to create a highly versatile Arena that could adapt to as many of your adventures as possible.

MAP DESCRIPTION
Venturing into the forest, hidden in the cool shade of the trees that have grown around it, we encounter the ancient walls and the grand stone staircase of the Forgotten Arena!
The ancient amphitheater is the colossal remains of a long-lost civilization, witness and host to ancient cults and rituals.
The tall, curved and enveloping walls are still massive despite the collapses and damages over time, as are the rich bas-reliefs and numerous arches that decorate the entire structure. The richness of the decorations and the complexity of the Arena's architecture speak to us of the greatness and power of the people who built it, as well as the ancient treasures it may still hide after centuries.
The structure was once used for multiple purposes, but they all involved fierce and spectacular combat, to which the people were invited to participate, as the large stands suggest. The cages and multiple entrances to the actual combat Arena suggest that the fights could, and may still, involve numerous warriors, as well as creatures of various sizes and forms.
Although the entrances to the stands were once separated from the main entrance, centuries have changed the structure's conformation, blocking the original accesses. Currently, the stands are explorable by climbing on the numerous rubble scattered across the various levels of the amphitheater, albeit not without some difficulty.
NOTES
- This classic Arena is perfect for any type of confrontation. We have tried to create a neutral structure that is well suited to as many creatures and situations as possible.
- Sacrifices to the Gods, strength and athletic competitions, fights between slaves, warriors, and/ or animals, duels between factions... the narrative possibilities about the origins of this Arena and its original use are practically infinite, and with them, the type of combats you can stage.
- Not only can the origins of the structure be important, but also its status as a precious lost monument of an ancient civilization. Treasure hunters and scoundrels can easily compete with you and cause problems while you explore these ruins.
- The numerous recesses, nooks, and wooded areas can hide enemies and dangers, while you, just arrived in the Arena and being the last to arrive, are totally exposed to the view of enemies who can scrutinize you from the stands without being seen. Stay alert!
As every week, we have put in our maximum effort and we hope that this map finds its place in many of your adventures!

Providing maps that can enrich your adventures, inspire you, and entertain you is the most precious goal for us, so we invite you to make yourselves heard!
