I'm rereading When the Roses, as one does, and I got to a chapter where Gil is in the Downed Unicorn and had a full on Leo moment, pointing at my screen. Literally said aloud "That's the thing from the thing!"

I can imagine that given the pairing is Harry and AMelia that the interest will eventually turn to attraction, curious though whether will be from Harry's end or Amelias'. My guess is from Amelia's maybe because she has taken lot more interest in Harry than he has her for now anyway.

I'll be very interested to see if Harry actually manages to stay out of major events. Or how he'll be reluctantly be pulled in. It would definitely be new to see events take course from the outside.

Definitely something I ain't seen before in Harry Potter fanfiction of a Harry that stays completely out of the war and politics and all. Amelia is rather tenacious thought I'll give her that though ti would do her better to leave it be, but...of course sh ain't gonna. My guess is though that Harry obviously knows she wont let it go and will probably enjoy stringing her along like that if nothing else to find some amusement in frustrating her with being unable to find answers.

Oh come on short hair doesn't take away the Potter looks lol!. Arcturus should've recognised the similarities and Charlus would've certainly when he attended the restaurant with Black. The interaction in the back office was well done, but it'll be interesting to see where you take this story. Fun and possibly time skips can only go so far. The antagonist won't appear until the early 70s, so it'll be interesting what the story lines will be in between, cause there's no school and a training montage isn't required due to his unspeakable induction. Possibly, Harry could get a licence as an international hit wizard, so he isn't rusty and it will allow him to pick and choose jobs. I doubt he'll join hogwarts with the restaurant business. Anyway, thank you for the chapter Mr McCusker and I look forward to the next one.

Good chapter, though I did cringe a bit at the “ah, baby you should smile more” line. Visions of my own degenerate and misguided early 20’s were quite strong.

Fun chapter. Harry is officially a restauranteur, which is something I haven’t seen before. DADA, Quidditch, cook, Auror, Unspeakable, I’ve seen. Not business owner. Considering the type of business, I expect a lot of character development. The conversation with Amelia was well done. Considering Harry’s alias, hopefully he keeps his bar well stocked with Jameson whiskey.
