[Poll Results] + [Game Information]
🕑 Added 2023-06-18 22:20:56 +0000 UTCHey Everyone!
First and foremost here is a status update on both the Demon Slayer Poll and the game Kana Sensei [Day 3].
Poll Winner: Shinobu
Shinobu ended up winning the poll with 1,968 votes in total. Mitsuri was pretty close behind with 1,742 votes. This includes all votes from FANBOX and SubscribeStar with the x5 multiplier and also includes the results from Pixiv, Twitter, and Discord.
Even when I excluded the results from Pixiv/Twitter/Discord and only included votes from supporters. Shinobu still ended up the winner but by a very close margin. It was a difference of about 7 votes (excluding the x5 multiplier). Admittedly, I was kind of hoping for Mitsuri to win, however I may end up including her as a bonus at the end.

And if you are wondering why Mitsuri had to change out of her normal clothes. Well, I guess we will have to wait and see how their duel went...
Kana Sensei v0.4.1 [Day 3]
Tentative Supporter Release Date: July 1st or 8th.
Beta Testing:
At this point, I believe that all major and minor bugs have been found and squashed. Excluding miscellaneous fixes and QOL improvements, there were about 10 bugs found in total. So a big thank you to everyone who participated as a Beta Tester. If you were a Beta Tester, please note that the share folder will be taken down within the next couple of days in preparation for the Supporter Release.
Remaining Items:
1) VA Audio:
As of this post, I am still waiting on a couple VAs to deliver the audio recordings I ordered. Some of the recordings will be finished by this weekend and the rest should arrive by the end of next week.
2) Translations:
Progress is being made for both the Japanese and Chinese translations of [Day 3]. However due to the vast amount of dialogue in Day 3, and poor timing on my end. The translations may not be done in time for the Supporter Release. Additionally, I was not able to get in contact with my Spanish translator, so Day 3 will likely be released without Spanish translations.
Ideally, I want to be fair to everyone and release the game with all translations at the same time. However depending on how much of Day 3 is translated by the end of June, I may end up releasing the game with English translations only. As the translations are completed for each language, I would add them into the game and make a small announcement post.
The main reason I am hesitant to include the machine-generated Japanese and Chinese translations in the Supporter Release is because the quality is really poor due to all the new text styling and text effects I added in this version which confuses the machine translator. (Both DeepL and Google Translate).
For context, it took about 4-5 days to fix the machine-generated translations in order to include them in the Beta Tester version (and I still missed some translation typos which is why the game threw an error at certain locations when playing in Chinese). While I consider it okay to include machine-generated translations in the Beta Tester version for testing purposes, I feel that including them in the Supporter Release wouldn't be right. So at the moment, I am unsure whether to include the machine translations or just add a huge disclaimer when selecting those languages.
Closing:
While I wait for all the VA audio files to be delivered, I plan to continue working on the Demon Slayer animation in the interim. After that I have 2, possibly 3 animation commissions lined up which I plan to work on next since I need more spanking animations for [Day 4] haha.
And as thanks for reading this far, here are 2 little paddle spanking GIFs I made based off a particular scene in [Day 3.]
VIP Supporters: I just wanted to address 2 items that people were asking me. First, there was no SceneData release in May since the Beta Tester perk was provided instead. Secondly, I am aware of the character swap issue that is present in the SpyXFamily SD that was released in April, where if you swapped Yor out with another character, the timeline won't play. The workaround was to deselect the spankee and hit play, however I ended up fixing this issue and will include it in this month's upcoming SD release in addition to the others. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
