So far as we know Titans are powered by the sun they do indeed essentially hibernate at night this was one of Hange's experiments with the captured titans in season 1 and it was mentioned, so its one of the reasons they're feeling somewhat safe moving and sleeping at night...yano until a horde of titans show up which is another one of the reasons they're so shocked about it. Also "My head hurts" all I can say is that'll get worse long before it gets better....actually it may not get better this show and the questions are pretty continuous :)
