Just wanted say a little take regarding when you guys talked about the earth map at the beginning. If I'm not completely mistaken then I think back when this takes places in the late middle ages the world maps used to actually look similiar to that one which they showed in the show. I have no idea if thats why they showed one that looked like that but its actually kind of accurate since back then only small parts of asian and africa were added to the map but it was mainly filled by Europe. Since that was what the people from that time period for the most part thought of what the world largely must consist of.

Historical fiction is something that I crave so when I heard about this anime I immediately got on it. And it has impressed me soo much. I have not stopped thinking about it since it finished a week or so back. Honestly was one of the best week to week experiences that I have ever had. I think you’ll both enjoy this one and get a lot of discussion out of it!

I am watching it for the first time with you guys, but it clearly seems like a real world. It's the kingdom of P., most of the names are Polish(-ski ending), the layout of the world is twisted to match the Middle Ages’ imagination of how the world looked. Even when they just deleted the Italy/Balkans xd.

Kensuke Ushio is the composer ( Ping Pong the Animation, Chainsaw Man, Dandadan, A Silent Voice, Devilman Crybaby) The Orb Ost is so good and has this ethereal and inquisitive tone, which fits the show perfectly
