As others have said there is a 10 minute delay. Also he doesn't sense/see what his shadows do and as the ant didn't kill anyone in the chamber he didn't sense anything wrong. It wasn't until goto died that he knew something happened and "exchange" took place.

to be fair it was mentioned that there were a 10 minute delay in the broadcast, and I don't think he can see what the shadow solders see , based on what happened in the tower before meeting the daemon girl
