@Daemedeor Everything you say is true but... Nobody is forcing them to do weakly episodes. It's not like a better seasonal approach would drive them out of business, it's just profit incentives. So being fair doesn't change the fact that if we have a better option to watch an adaptation, we 'll chose that.

To be fair to toei, it takes a bit to animate episodes and until recently were literally following one piece chapter by chapter. If they did normal pacing, they’d completely overtake one piece because not only it takes shorter to animate the manga but oda started taking his every 3/4 chapters break at that time. If the manga chapter is mostly talking, it’s even worse. They do questionable things and the pacing is terrible yes, but let’s not pretend that this is why seasonal animes now exist instead of following the manga at a set amount of chapters behind

Yes thank you🙏🏽. One Piece chapters are dense, probably 2x-2.5x as long as normal shonen manga chapters. And the remake is adapting 3-4 every episode. The scenes are edited together very jarring at times

I think we’re just gonna watch the show as normal honestly If people want us to watch the remake we’ll probably do it after so that we can compare them with the same perspective as the average viewer. If we watched the better animated remake, then tried to watch the normal version, we’ll be underwhelmed and negative. But if we watch in release order, we’ll get the same elation that viewers felt when watching for the first time, then be able to re-experience it with better animation, with the context of having seen the first version, making it more great without losing out on potential context And also, we’re just not gonna watch one pace ever. I’m very very interested in it on a personal level as I’ve wanted to make something similar for Naruto for years, but as a content creator and someone who is reviewing the tv show, it’s not a good thing to do to watch a fan edit for your first watch.

They should just watch the show as is and go through the bad pacing just like everyone else had to. The anime’s bad pacing doesn’t take away Oda’s ability as a writer Boldcast will be able to see the depth of the next arc trust them.

Stop complaining. People said the same about Thriller Bark's pacing, and BoldCast enjoyed it more than Enies Lobby. Seems like you just have bias towards the next arc as you found it boring. Sorry, but BoldCast value depth and good writing. Also, the remake is SHIT for 1st time viewers anyway

Do NOT do One Pace. If you're going to watch anything that has any information cut, do the remake. One Pace literally has people watching like episode 737 during episode 2. It's dumb as hell. Probably leaves out ton of information that people don't even know is crucial yet.

If you guys want to keep your sanity after this arc, I recommend switching to one pace or for the next arc watch the remake recently completed by toei. Pacing gets outrageous and i had to drop the series in the next arc for half a year until i discovered one pace. Remake of the next arc by toei has 50% less episodes than the original run

The Anime debuted in 1999, and this episode was released in 2011, that's 12 years of serialization, the entire length of Naruto Shippuden, this is a huge milestone, congratz guys. "Is that Sengoku?" The timing on that was immaculate lmao.
