No, prosopagnosia has nothing to do with a lack of empathy, psychopathy, or autism. In most cases, it develops after a head trauma, but some people are just born with it.

Well, Lakan’s ‘disease’ is prosopagnosia- often caused by damage or developmental issues in the brain areas responsible for facial recognition, like the fusiform gyrus. It’s more a disability than an illness or mental issue and essentially prevented him from forming any human relationships duriong his life
