I want that to play whenever the scene pans to Raftel whenever the StrawHats make it there, I won't accept ant other OST. Mother Sea has been my head canon of what should and will play during that scene. Honorary mention, I pray it plays when that recent Franky panel gets animated.

29:57 thats kind of accurate lol. Though regarding Golden Lion Shiki, he IS a canon character, but the events in the film it self are the only thing that is filler. The episode 0 is 100% canon. All that you have learned from Sengoku though is enough to understand the story right now.

Shiki the Golden Lion is canon and everything surrounding him (that we learn in Episode 0/Chapter 0) is also canon. He did escape from Impel Down, as mentioned during said arc. You should definitely watch Episode 0 becaue it is 100% canon material. The events of the movie aren't but his characterization in the movie is reflective of how he acts in canon.

It’s crazy to me that you can take a story about a group of pirates traveling, completely flip it on its head with fantastic world building, and then you forget about the main plot of the story and about the other 8 supporting characters. When I first watched this it baffled me at first that the straw hats weren’t involved in the war but it’s crazy how easily you get lost in the plot and forget that they aren’t even here
