Korra not being able to fly using firebending Azula, Jong Jong, and Ozai, and Iroh we must assume, seems weird to me, her being the Avatar and such a powerful firebender, but then again, she also cannot do metalbending, pull water out of the air, bloodbend, lightningbend, and all those things, so either nobody was able to or wanted to teach her these things, or she’s just not able to. But if she was able to, I think she should be as capable and versatile as possible, and learn everything she possibly can, even if bloodbending is forbidden and really dark, as well as learning chi blocking, being adapt with normal weapons, learning diplomacy, just all the life skills, so she’s not completely new to all this once she leaves the south pole.
