How's it feel like entering what I like to call the 'Infinity War' arc of One Piece? Do you think Luffy can handle this without his crew or would he need a new crew for this battle?
Delmar9077
Didn't they already talk about that in a video a while ago?
Terrance Matthews
When Luffy was fighting the Sisters and they were using Haki to predict his movements, did you at all think “This is like Mantra from Skypiea”?
Piotr Hozakowski (phappy)
Were you surprised by such difficult topics in OP as human trafficking and sexual slavery, rapes (including children)? The topics hit me hard, because I read a lot of reports (mainly about wars) when I was a teenager and at university, and I am also aware that such things happen all the time in places engulfed in conflict, including neighboring country to my country, Ukraine.
Monkey D. Lucci
☝️ This is a top-tier question and brings more to the topic on how Oda improvises and pre-plans.
Henry Nicolas
What do you think about the contrast between Sabaody being a place with such a friendly atmosphere, but touching on sensitive topics like prejudice and slavery? Did this construction flow normally for you or did it come "out of nowhere"?
Sanji Joestar
This is a quote from Oda about the 11 Supernovas " [...] I created the Supernovas right before the chapter where they got introduced. None of them existed in my plot notebooks before that chapter. I was in desperate situation, worrying, "At this rate, Sabaody arc will not be interesting enough." Then, inspiration for 9 Supernovas came to my mind unconsciously. [...] " (Source: One Piece Logs N°27) Regarding this news, here are some trivia from interviews in 2010 ("Grand Countdown") and 2017. - The plan for breaking up the Straw Hats was already decided when Kuma was introduced in chapter 233(Jaya Arc). - Editor Onishi advised Oda to spice up the story in Sabaody. Oda replied, "Would it be interesting if new characters appear?" - Only 3 hours after this advice, Oda finished designing all Supernovas. Knowing this what are your thoughts on the Supernovas and the way Oda writes and implements these elements into his story ?

After the events of Enies Lobby and Thriller Bark where the crew came closer than ever to losing but in the end things turned out just fine, did you ever expect such a crushing defeat as the one in Sabaody? Do you feel like your expectations, in so far as the crew's defeat, were subverted or met in this arc? What did this do for your overall understanding of the power that the government holds over every day citizens when people capable of defeating warlords are so easily dispatched? We have seen it a few times where something that we know the name of is referred to by a different term, in this case the "Grand Line" is called the "Center Sea" by the women on Amazon Lily. Do you like the inclusion that, in a world so vast and separated by barriers that are basically unpassable for regular people, certain things go by different names depending on which region the people referring to them are from?

Who's situation out of the straw hats are you most interested in finding out how they conclude? Which straw hat do you think will come off their island the most different from Sabaody?

I was wondering the same thing!

How do you feel about One Piece being silly and funny on the outside but deep and serious on the inside? Did you expect this? How do you feel about it compared to other popular shonen?
Sanji Joestar
Luffy's been training for years after Shanks to get ready for the Grand Line, his biggest obstacle back then was Crocodile, recently Moria But now he's suffered a complete loss and is separated from his crew. What do you think of that evolution narratively and from a writing perspective ?
SizTheDead
How do you feel Seabody Archipelago arc has expanded the world (Rayleigh, the Supernovas, the Straw Hats being defeated, slavery etc)?
Sisters G
You mentioned in a previous episode discussion that you understand the meme about One Piece getting good later on. Can you elaborate on that?
Zoodinger
You had expected the crew to be defeated at Enies Lobby. Did them winning there made you think that's not a route Oda would ever take, sort of how you don't expect people to die anymore when people like Pell and Pagaya survived? i.e. were you caught off guard now that it did happen? And how was this defeat compared to what you expected was going to happen if the Strawhats got defeated?
Matess
Looking back at Water 7 saga and Aokiji, how would you compare Kizaru and Aokiji both in terms of character and power so far? Who did you enjoy more and what do you expect from them in the future? Also, now that you have seen the 2 out of 3 admirals, what are your expectations for the last one.
Monkey D. Lucci
What are your favorite One Piece laughs?
SizTheDead
Would you have expected in the past arcs (let's say the arcs before Thriller Bark) that the straw hats would be defeated, and in such a way? What do you think this defeat will mean for the story?
Marta Britāla
Looking at how things turned out, do you think Luffy punching a celestial dragon was a good idea? Also, did Oda portray the consequences of such an action good enough?
Kiki Varas
What are your thoughts or Theories about the Luffy and the crew getting separated? Like what are some of your predictions on that?
Kiki Varas
What was your favorite part of this arc? And at what point/scene in this arc made you really invested in this arc?
Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé
Which supernova is your favorite currently?
Fabulous
Where would you rank sabaody archipelago compared to the previous arcs?
Meek
Who has been your favorite recent side character?
Artemis
I have expressed that I was against this decision in the first place, but i am just letting you all know, that we all talked it over a lot in discord before committing to asking carson what we think would be for the betterment of boldcast and eventually came up with a compromize. Most of us decided it might be a good idea due to the very dense material in this story. Having to compartmentalize everything into a single podcast could be a bit overbearing. Since we are going through with this, I do think 421 is an appropriate split. How ever we do have concerns about spoiler talk so i think (I hope) everyone respects that this is only half of the story so be careful on how you approach your questions. With that being said, I hope boldcast sees this as a more open-ended analysis, just like any story and realizes that there viewpoints could change with how things progress in the future. This can be seen as kind of a mini dissection of this saga, but boldcast will hopefully approach part 2 as an amalgamation of all prior events, when discussing the saga as a whole.

Capturing Ace allowed Blackbeard to become a warlord, what do you think his goal is ?
Jambron
Better if I ask the question on the right post... I know you mentioned things really picking up in Sabaody and joked around that OP fans will often say "Wait till you get to |*some part of the story*|, that's when One Piece REALLY gets good." If I recall, you said you were starting to understand that dynamic. I'm curious: do you feel like you've reached a point where you feel this way about the story, and if not are you expecting that it might happen for you sometime in the next few arcs/sagas if the show keeps getting better ?
Sanji Joestar
What do you think of Rayleigh/Roger and the journey to the One Piece with the new informations at hand ?
Sanji Joestar
Thoughts on Hancock and/or the Kuja as a whole ?
Sanji Joestar
What do you think of the route the story's taking by separating Luffy from his crew ?
Sanji Joestar
What are your thoughts on the various senses of morality in the show, and how it applies to the Strawhats' views of the world ? For example we had Hachi, who redeemed himself to atone for what he did to Nami, Or Duval, a human trafficker and an enemy turned into an ally because of his usefulness, Or the Navy endorsing the system profiting the Celestial Dragons and slave owners Or Luffy entering a human shop to look for Camie and leaving when she wasn't there?
SwaggyMan
In the LA, the context behind Arlong’s hatred for humans due to prejudice against fishmen is introduced right away and in the anime/manga revealed much later on. What are your thoughts on the difference how that’s presented and which one do you prefer?
Sonicluis
Glad you guys are doing the podcast, with that being said. What do you guys think of kuma decision to separate the strawhats, do you think he send them to the different islands on purpose or random?? And why didn’t he just send them all to the same place with the ship if he can control the destination he sends people to???
Parish Pokharel
Out of all the Supernovas that we saw in the Sabody arc, who peaked the most interest and want to see more of?
Varre Ram
Good ?
Detectivetrap23
How does the existence of celestial dragons, and their position of power, change your view of the marines and characters like garp and Koby?
VongoGai
The association between the two terms is only mentioned/confirmed much later in the anime, I'd rephrase the question now if I were you
Varre Ram
Now that you are introduced to Haki , where in the previous arcs did you think you saw that might be haki even tho it was not mentioned before. And who else in the strawhat crew used haki or will use haki in the future.
Krykee
After leaving Thriller Bark which is one of the more lighthearted arcs with relatively low stakes, you are thrown into a visually beautiful yet dystopian island full of heavy hitting pirates and marines. Were you surprised that the tone shift was so drastic and did you enjoy said tone shift? Do you enjoy more lore heavy and world building arcs or the less serious ones and why?
Albanese
Didn't expect podcast but i'm happy about it
Anq
What do you think of the world building that was done within the space of such a short amount of episodes? How does it influence your thinking about Oda's writing skills.
Copper Nickus
Now that you have seen Hatchi's impact on the arc of Sabaody, what do you think about the decision to strike him from the live action? Does it indicate that the LA will likely never get that far, or that they will take a different direction in that arc with his absence?
Kintama
Jack Shadow
What you think about Marine's organization? Did you feel that pirates are not evil, while marrines are the real evil? What you feel about Kizaru? Did you like him? Who is yours most favorite supernova(pirate crew that was introduced on Sabaody) based on design and personal likes? What are you expecting to happen next with Supernova characters.
Martin Hagen
For Amazon Lily specifically, it’s the first arc where we get luffy alone without his crew. How do you feel the show handled the absence of the rest of the crew?
Eldritchfaeries

Mo
Thoughts on Kuma? And if he was helping the straw hats why do you think he did it and if he wasn’t what other motive he might have? How do you think Oda handled the heavy subjects as racism and slavery so far and did you except one piece to take a dark turn like this at some point? Would you consider Sabaody ending to be your favorite arc ending so far?
Ty
Curious your thoughts on Oda's writing during these mini arcs. What do you think his strengths are in these smaller arcs vs the bigger ones and vice versa?
Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé
What are your thoughts on haki so far?
stalingg
Thought's on Boa's introduction and character? Additionally how do you think Oda has handled female character up to this point?
Marta Britāla
Some people argue that Sabaody is an ending to stuff that started in Thriller bark, others say that Sabaody is the beginning of stuff that happened in Amazon lily (and more that is yet to come). How do you look at it? As the conclusion or as the beginning (when looking at the overarching themes)? (I hope you understand what I am asking)
Дмитро Подорван
Do you think Oda made the right decision in his extreme portrayal of Celestial Dragons? Or maybe you think its too on the nose?
EOussama
How does the emergence of the racism plotline and everything revealed about the Fishmen so far reshape your perspective on the Arlong Park arc, both in the Anime and the Live Action adaptations? Do you have any predictions about the 11 rookies introduced at Sabaody? What’s your take on Kizaru as a character in a position of great power, especially when compared to Aokiji? Most hated character? Saint Charlos, Spandam, Wapol. GO!
