the uncut versions only show the subs bc otherwise they would be taken down because of copyright reasons. if you want to watch their uncut videos you will have to sync up your own episode and use the picture in picture mode or another tab. if for whatever reason you are unable to do that, then they have edited versions of the episodes you can watch instead. both the edited and the uncut episodes have their own playlist/collection that you can enter to avoid scrolling through both versions.

It is not a spoiler; they continue to assert that her power is ineffective against him, despite Boa having already used her power in a different manner to injure him.
Ian
Luffy would've gotten torched by those 3
sun rize
i don't understand why some episode of this series are visually cut to only show subtitles
Jambron
This. Also because it is a taboo subject in Japan, which hasn't properly recognised it's (horrific) role in this matter. So it's probably the only way he could address this "safely".
jailbreak
luffy has never straight up won against a warlord in a 1v1
Ty
Wait really? Where was this shown? I am only on episode 415 right now.
Jack Shadow
stop spoiling stuff
Astro_Naughty
carson you need to lock in brother lol
Kittyslayr
Best to let them figure this kind of stuff out on their own, the same way we did.
Whoopsie
i swear people do not think when they try write stuff like this 💀
Sanji Joestar
You realize you're spooling them by doing this right?
Nicolas LeBlanc
Your answer is power scaling spoilers. Please perhaps rephrase it.
Ty
I’m new to watching one piece. Where was this shown?

In the anime version, her Pistol Kissing just didn't affect Luffy that much.
Monkey D. Lucci
Vivi taught Luffy well during Drum Kingdom.
Linus Gradin
Luffy would have gotten rekt if he would have fought Boa
emilio corvalan
I remember crafstdwarf (a really good youtuber btw) making the connection that part of her actions are born from her fear of not being free, she is burden by her title of warlord,by her position as empress, and Even by the expectations of her people, when she breaks the sculpture that they made of her,she is being an asshole but she is being true to herself and what she thinks
Solas
Yeah I thought after she got confirmed to have Conquerors Haki and her Pistol Kissing Luffy easily they wouldn’t think lightly of her. Hancock is on a completely different level than someone like Moriah lol
Sanji Joestar
!!!
Martin Hagen
Also because the only power we've seen from Boa so far is the love love fruit, which doesn't affect luffy so that's probably why they said that
Zoodinger
I'd like to know more of your thoughts and theories about this arc because it's notably different so far. But maybe it's worth to wait until you see more of it.

There is a line spoken in the Nami flashback that i only noticed this time. When Arlong arrives at the island someone asks. "Was the rumor about a split in the fishman pirate group true?"
EOussama
It's really the music, Boa's narration, Sandersonia suddenly starts having a breakdown only for Boa to bust into tears moments after, the implications are horrifying.
Sanji Joestar
He loves his over the top quirks that dive into bigger implications😂❤️
Artemis
I never even considered this little touch to her character, but yeah, it makes so much sense now. It's crazy how at first glance, readers make fun of her when we first get introduced to her mannerisms and attitude, but now we understand her trauma and empathize with her. That's Oda for you. Such evocative character writing here.
Adam Vialpando
Another thing that lends credence to Oda having a rough plan for fishmen pirates is that Arlong had a prominent sun tattoo on his chest.
IBG_Music
Great reaction! Loving it and the discussions. 😁
Super Novice
I was about to comment this, Boa is far above the level of her sisters I think they just assumed she was the same level as them. Or warlords like Moriah lol
Nukouh
ik i shouldn’t be binge watching the reactions but i can’t help myself

+ The way she was exploited for her beauty really shows how non genuine it is when she says She's ✨SO BEAUTIFUL✨ It's like she's parroting what everyone else thinks of her. Nobody really sees her as a person but as a trophy. No matter what she does that's what she'll be valued for. So if she had that freedom taken away she'll never let that guard down again and will instead exploit what others sees her as to get stronger and have the upper hand. Her behavior can be borderline but when she told Margaret and the others to keep fighting for their home you can begin to see how much she cares about them.

Still on the touchy topic of the Boa Sisters backstory. ~ SBS Vol55 Q: Greetings. Very pleased to meet you! We are the Panda Pirates from China. By the way, China has the largest crew~! People from all over the world have gathered in pirate crews through the Internet, and counting the registered users, we are about 40,000 people! (What's that?! Since it's China, you're not surprised? Well, well...) (Question) The buildings and landscape of the Island of Women feels a little Chinese in their character. Did you make it that way on purpose? Oda: Yes, yes. The model for Amazon Lily is China. There are lots of movies and stories about Amazons, but I thought there were very few with an elegant setting. I wanted to make them a country of women with have an high cultural standard. Speaking of which, Chinese women are HOT! I love China dresses! Says Sanji. By the way, the representatives of the Internet group called the "Panda Pirates" who sent me this letter also sent me a a THICK envelope filled with messages from the members. There was a list of names, too, and there were One Piece fans from all over the world gathered together... Mmm, it made me really happy~! Please keep up your easy-going support! ~ There's a few speculations as to why Oda choose this setting for Amazon Lily, the chinese architecture for example with a strong women oriented society and all. And one idea i heard once that makes too much sense at this point is about Japan's comfort women in WW2, which included many chinese and korean women back then. To not dive into the gruesome part, i think Oda chose to avoid responding directly for the reason why he chose it and instead depicted them within this amazon society. As it's something he can't directly address, so instead he tries to do an empowering retribution in his own way through his manga. It's up to interpretation but it's worth mentioning imo.

Yeah, small detail about character development and its meaningful for the story

Everything's being woven so nicely into the next story it's really cool to watch unfold. One bit i really enjoy is from Luffy bowing his head to receive help for Margaret and the others. That reinforced humility he learned from Vivi back in Drum Island, to focus on what's important, and wholeheartedly help them. His character feels so right for this story It's the little things that keep piling up slowly.

They do actually explicitly say that Fisher Tiger is a fish man in this episode. You might have missed it because it's just a single line after they say he was an adventurer that led the Fish Man pirates. "In order to free all the slaves from the town where his fellow fishmen were being tortured,..." is the line. I don't have the episode timestamp but it happens at 13:47 in *this* video.

The symbol Tom had on both his shoulders looks similar to a sun but distinctively different from the Sun Pirates too. It's like a mix of a gear symbol and sunflower.

Hancock's fear of vulnerability feels so genuine and heart wrenching. Oda teases us with a mighty story about how they defeated a giant gorgon and being cursed with literal eyes, almost like they're being judged by others regards on them. But the truth is much more palpable, tangible and real. The possibility that just like that, one moment of inattention, and they were taken advantage of to become disposables for literal dictators. I really love the way Oda approaches this story, it's not something he delves into too much because the topic itself is heavy and there's of course limitations to how much he can depict, which leaves the reader/viewer with the ability to interpret how terrible it can go for the Boa Sisters... (" the first man i ever saw instilled and undying fear in me") Yea... Hurt people hurt people like they say. And Hancock is no exception. She somehow even replicates what we saw Celestial Dragons do, kicking people in their way. People victims of abuse often trying to recover in some way a sense of control and superiority as they regret the time they couldn't defend themselves. Her island already has an established rule about men being forbidden. In Sabaody we see how exploitative and ''high class'' people view their position while removing human rights from those they consider below them, subhuman, as the mark signals. No wonder they'd rather stay closed off even more with people like that around. If it was someone other than Luffy who knows...
Ty
Vivi teaching luffy to bow and be humble when asking for help still is one of the most impactful things luffy ever learned
klairvoyage
Yeah same motif, but not the same fire-y design. Tom's looked like a sun flower + he had 2 of em
Jack Shadow
Yup Sun symbol was always there, also it was on Skypia :D
100Rainy
After a quick google search, looks like Tom had 2 arm tattoos that were similar in design but still notably distinct from the Sun Pirates mark
Lūthér Hölâyèãhmé
I guess they think lowly of Hancock's strength because Luffy has already defeated 2 warlords. They don't yet realize how large of a gap the potential power levels between warlords can be.
Sonicluis
To not make light of boa Hancock, there’s only 3 characters proven to have the conqueror haki at there command . Shanks, Rayleigh and now Hancock. To make light of her is kinda crazy.
