Yeah, it gets worse, too. Some female characters' shapes and volumes make no sense in some of the later anime redesigns. They do get curvier as the manga goes along, too, and Oda makes no apologies about that since I think he just enjoys drawing sexy women, but at least Oda kept the sense of anatomy in the original drawings, even when he made them extremely curvy.
