For some reason there are quite a few characters you’ll see throughout the series that can use a fire based attack even if their main powers aren’t related to fire. I don’t think it has really ever been explained how why they can use fire at all though 🤷🏾♂️

Honestly there's barely any modern mangaka that isn't at least a little inspired by One Piece. So it checks out.

I swear when the AoT first got popular the author confirming the relation was in an article. My friends remember discussing it to, I believe it was around when One Piece was at Dressrosa at the time. Problem is I can't find stuff like that with search engines anymore.

The finger biting might still just be a coincidence. Like how Guts apparently wasn't based on Götz of the Iron Hand. Which is absolutely wild and I honestly still don't really believe it.
