I can't remember Zoro fighting Kaku, all I remember is Zoro vs Usopp. And Zoro was struggeling!

Don't worry about pissing off Kaku apologists, I seriously think him getting on the audience's nerves was actually the purpose of his character since Zoro is actually there yelling at him more and more until he taunts with talking about Robin. You recognize that an enemy gets serious farther in the fight to make the defeat worthwhile, Kaku actually fails at being badass enough. But maybe you haven't noticed, he was tasked with being badass enough to seem like a serious challenge to Zoro. Luffy doesn't get cheated out of a fight, sure. But Zoro's the guy who started the series with saying losing a single time isn't an option and has to get philosophic with accomplishments. So to still get the entertainment across he crosses a line with a guy nobody should go crossing, he actually goes and Pisses Zoro Off. And like he's already fighting to the max when he fights, so the only way for that extra ferocity to manifest in his fighting is that demonic illusion and some pretty sparkles.
