@Gaetan they were talking about how his hat looks different and such in the future.. just character design in general, thats what design they saw. you should know what they are talking about

IIRC Carson you mentioned few months ago (I think it was on Drum Island) that you saw some visuals of Chopper and said something like "they have remove all the cuteness from him now" (clearly not the exact sentence but that what I remerber rn). Since then I was wondering if you was talking about Chopper's monster form or anything else ?

Man, this episode is so emotional for me, Chopper the cutest boy has been traumatized his entire life about people persecuting him for being a "monster", probably the word that puts him down the most, but here he fully accepts it in order to save a "friend", they word that he thought freed him from the shackles of being a "monster" he became a monster either way to protect.

imagine the difference of their reaction if they saw bunch of mere second spoils from OP6... felt little sad when they announced that 290 is a single episode upload but I just realize that it's actually a good move to go back ending their uploads at EVEN number (example 293-294, etc) lots of remaining great episodes of this arc ends at even number

We thought Yoyoi and Chapapa would be all goofy in their fights but it turns out they can lock in and be real threats. These past few episodes have been great. I love the spooky Wendigo inspired design for Monster Chopper, it was hype af in the manga too.

I was looking forward to this reaction hehe (Chopper being my fav Strawhat with Robin). A detail I really liked in terms of sound design is how they mixed both his human and reindeer screams for this transformation.

Also, to add to what Carson says, "cool does not equal the str of a character either. In the one-piece world, you can have someone that has the most butt ugly appearance in design on screen, but yet that character could be equivalent to Aokiji in power. I guess what I'm saying is that with such abstract and outlandish designs, you can never predict how powerful any one individual is by their appearance alone. Kishimoto I think went for a more conventional cool design when determining which characters are really high up on the power scaling ratio, like itachi, madara and sasuke. But its not quite that simple with one piece.

I also really like how Life Return as a concept is explored It's a bit like Luffy eating meat to automatically regain strength as he absorbs it but on Steroids for Kumadori

The Monster reveal is SO GOOD every single time because nobody would expect Chopper of all people to turn into this nightmarish creature. And it's so good regarding Chopper's character on many levels as you mentioned.
