Also the Iron Body Wheel Blueno did isn’t one of the six powers. Each member of CP9 has the 6 powers, but some agents are better with certain powers than others. So they can make their own techniques with them by incorporating the powers into certain moves and stuff like that.

Luffy vs Blueno is definitely one of the best fights from the first half of One Piece. So much hype. And when the animation gets like that Carson, that’s when you know something is about to go down.

Something I'll call out about One Piece that can be different to other Shonen, is that Oda really leans into the characters getting stronger MID fight. Perhaps the characters came into the fight with a strategy in mind, but the fight itself might be the very first time they are trying it. It took me a while to get used to it but I think it creates really cool moments like Zoro learning to cut steel mid fight with Mr. 1.
