IMO it cannot be a forever safe place... it's just anime studio/s haven't aim their crosshairs to patreon... or maybe they're just waiting it to get huge? more people to sue? more infringe = more money? everyone knows those reactors blatantly using their IP, it's not under a fair use, almost an alternative for not subscribing to legal sites like crunchyroll, netflix, etc... which is their main revenue source

bro can't resist >< they are totally unsullied which makes their assumptions/theories very interesting to watch... I'm actually surprised that they are into something, considering Oda went a notch with mysteries and predictability with this arc... we're not better just because we watched or read something earlier than others... in fact, almost all of us just binged all of this, we didn't theorize nor over-analyze episode by episode

Oda still uses the trope in future arcs. But Oda is more methodical about it moving forward. Luffy definitely gets separated from everyone, but he’s not just doing nothing lol

Nah man over the course of the whole story it’s not that much but early on it’s definitely a thing and I understand getting annoyed with it after a while you want the main character to be a part of the story. Good thing it’s pretty much vanishes after this I can’t think of any egregious examples of luffy being removed from the story after this.

it's no big deal if they think that way because One Piece is not just about battle and epic fights anyways... It's about world building, character building, mysteries, lore, tearjerker backstories, etc... i actually find it cool that BOLDcast observed those pattern early on about Luffy... top tier reactors

They prob already watch 243 at this point but this trope was kind of annoying before, but its very short lived here so and I think oda learned from his mistakes because I don't recall a time where its used again, not like in early stories.

arlong park, little garden, some would say crocodile but i wouldnt, skypeia, here. 4, could argue 5 with croc (second L). Obviously not gonna give future examples but i could def keep going. Some writers dont even do it once, it is a writing trope he gets stuck in which is just how he writes at the end of the day.

I dont think oda used the "lets take luffy out of the store" strategy a lot of time tho, he only did it three times, so far in the story. 2 of 3 were to increase tension and for the story like in arlong park and little garden; and of course dorry will stop luffy from interfering with their fight. I dont know I dont find it over used
