Yagi di Hoshi

epic way to ruminate at the end with the darkness

Damien

The silence you had at the end of episode was pretty impressive, I can tell it affected you guys a lot

Dan Bax

I feel you.

JojoJack

Usopp had hours to prep for the fight

ignorantWeed

Prep time ussop, silence in the end hits deep

Jeremy Gullion

For Carson, Usopp got jumped by the Franky family, and then went to their hideout hurt and enraged with no plan. Against Luffy he knew his opponent and had hours to prepare. Just saying, that's why he didn't use those tactics against them, he didn't have them until he was preparing for Luffy.

Black Snow

I like the original translation of those final words better where Luffy says "Its heavy" and Zoro response "That's the burden of the captain. Dont lose yourself" but, still overall soul crushing set of episodes.

Immortal Art

one of the saddest episodes ever , great reaction guys as always

Extra Crispy

This is one of these things “styles make fights” it seems like ussop suddenly gets way stronger here than he was before and he kind of does (gotta make the fight exciting and little bit competitive you know how it is lol) but even if he had all this stuff he still probably couldn’t have beaten the franky family. Think about everything the straw hats did when fighting the franky family. Having a bunch of shuriken wouldnt make ussop strong or fast enough to survive being shot by a bunch of cannons. Even if he had the impact dial he only could have used it like 2-3 times max before he would have been out of commission. He would have needed to blow the whole place up at once with the breath dial but he went there trying to get the money back not destroy it trying to kill everyone. Also I feel your looks of distress this whole episode had me feeling like luffy 😭😂.

Jack Shadow

Yup, I feel you Lindsy :D Also this was great forwshadowing from Oda to let Usopp call himself as captain Usopp. which lead him to actually fight against Luffy.

Drakojin

For those 2 episodes alone I eagerly await the next discussion. And we are not even close to finished.

ViviMay

The silence before Zoro said "Game Over" 😭😭😭😭😭 man I never watched this episode but I had to pushed through. Thank you for the massive uploads 💖

EOussama

I wish Usopp could fight like this all the time, but maybe this is an exception because of how long he's known Luffy. The part where the Merry is made to look like she was crying gets me every time. "If you waver, who can we trust" That was the line, Zoro.

Fabulous

usopp came prepared for this fight, unlike against franky family. he got beat up horribly and then barged into their house without any planning and being emotional.

Darksteel78

Usopp on his Batman scheme for this battle. Came prepared for his opponent and had plans on top of plans. Luffy is just too strong for him. Batman with prep time is practically invincible. Maybe Usopp should have delayed the duel until next week. 🤣

fia

Also, huge shout out to Zoro. He's a real one

fia

"I know you always fight will all your strenght" Usopp's seen Luffy fight for his friends with all his strength over and over again, so now he feels like he's giving up on the merry way too easily last episode, Usopp said something among the lines of "the Luffy i know would've believed in the merry's strenght first" maybe that was true, but Luffy is not the same capitan Usopp knew a couple hours ago. you can see this in the conversation Luffy and Iceberg have, you can see him switching up after Iceberg calls him out. How dare he call himself a capitan if he keeps the Merry just out of stubbornness? Luffy is the strongest one in the crew, and as a capitan he is realizing that part of being strong is also being able to do what's best for your crew and make the tough call without hesitation I'm sure luffy would pick the merry over any other ship in the world, but his friends' lifes are in his hands. even if it hurts, even if no one including himself likes it, he has to leave the ship behind and he has to fight Usopp

Jambron

This one always gives me the feels too. Not surprising it's hard to comment on just after watching it.

Emily

This fight is always so hard to watch but its so necessary for Luffy’s development as a character 😭 This is such a huge teaching moment for Luffy as a captain and seeing how he grows from this experience to prevent something like this from happening again in the future makes it worth it.
