I like the detail of Zuko putting up a warding shield of flame around him as the detonation reaches him, which is likely the entire reason he survived. Still probably gets slammed back by the explosion, but cuts and bruises are better than a new scar/death.

Its interesting that when people usually complain about pacing in media they mean that things are happening too slowly but with some shows like ATLA the usual complaint about its pacing is that it covers too much in less time than the viewer would like. Despite this it still does a great job but it is interesting to see the reverse pacing issue.
