Solid discussion Speaking to the abruptness of Robin, I think that fits into Oda's desire to always subvert expectations. Anyone without a shred of knowledge of the future of One Piece would have said at the beginning of the arc that Vivi was joining the crew. But that expectation was absolutely referenced, to the point that we suddenly have an ex-antagonist as a member. I like the point you make about the switch to joining before learning back story.

4 years is a pretty decent allotted time for a 1000+ series. They have said they want to take their time and enjoy it and their workload is already pretty heavy. I know people like the Normies for example, who do like 1 episode every 2 weeks, and it took them like 8 years to make it through naruto. Compared to that, they’re flying. Also in 4 years OP might be on the tail end of its climax, so there just in time to maybe even catch up and see its conclusion at that pace. Additionally, if you upgrade your patreon tier you do get 2 weeks ahead so currently there on ep 147-149 there abouts.

excellent discussion at the end. great points and theories. sadly you haven't seen anything yet lol! my only question to you is do you have any plans on increasing the number of episodes you release a week in the future haha? I watch and read the manga so base off your current rate it will take you about 4 in half years to catch up to the episodes. as for Vivi I think your right about her being to similar to nami but I still would have loved for her to join them and just come back later to her homeland but she never mention a dream outside her homeland so it was a good insight on your part to notice that. so many good things to come!
