One thing I always notice is that even people who talks up the hero's party pretty much only mention Himmel. Like, we occasionally see some young people who still admire them, but it is pretty much only Himmel who is remembered with precision. Heiter was alive until not long ago, and in a fairly high position in society, and even then the only people who mentioned him were the ones who happened to have personally met him. And nobody but Stark particularly cares about Eisen. The hero party is remembered as a group, but individually it is only Himmel who survived the test of time so far.

yeah. And I think it might have a mindset of why would some legendary mage even enter an exam.

It depends on how much people nowadays care about the heroes party too, maybe only the old ones are more able to recognize her

It was over 80 years since the demon king died if we take that frieren help improve magic for 20-30 years it is still 50 years that past so it is normal that they don't think it can be hero Frieren

I think is normal you think that, maybe the author wanted to hint like frieren and the heroes party are being slowly forgotten? Also, someone recognized the holy emblem of frieren but when they were listing the promising candidates no one metioned her, maybe the higher ups knows but they didn't say anything so the exam would g oon naturally without everyone freaking out because of her
