The Conjuring 1 (beyond 1 is ass), a rare gem that is scary even for people who have seen a lot of horror movies. It's generic but really well done. My friends and I have seen heeaps of Horrors together and we agree that was one of the best. Insidious 1-2 are good, Saw 1-3 are fantastic mystery horror thrillers with real plot twist endings that will have you making reactor thumbnail faces, Saw 1 especially is fucking brilliant. Grave Encounters 1-2 were one of the first I saw with friends back in High School and that scared the shit out of us when we first watched it. Sinister 1 is really good. Hereditary is one of the more modern horrors that was surprisingly good. The Ring is the first horror I ever saw and it scared the shit out of me, but I think nowadays I'd find it very meh Eventually you realize horror movies are mostly cookie cutter generic crap but those that I mentioned stood out over the years to me If you want to get really freaky and watch a more underground horror movie series, VHS 1-2 are freaky as fuck. VHS 2 I believe must be watched with subtitles tho coz one part of it takes place in some out-there Asian cult and its important to know what they saying

The Prestige is an underrated gem imo, not necessarily a horror movie but has a menacing and tense atmosphere.

I join those who recommend "The Thing", but I also have others that I consider very good: The Strangers (just the first movie), Scream (this could be a new saga of movies for Boldcast), Sinister and Halloween (the remake, the one that Rob Zombie made).
