Can I ask why? I'm really surprised that most people seem to consider Baratie/Don Krieg a better arc than Syrup Village.

Can you point out where Oda has contradicted himself during the SBS'? I'm pretty sure he's fairly consistent with being the opposite; he backs up almost all of the information he discloses in the SBS's

the syrup village arc is my personal least fav arc in all of one piece so im glad you guys are enjoying it. I think the live action heavily improved on the arc

You know half of the time, the SBS's are just oda joking around, it doesn't really confirm nothing. Alot of people take it to serously as if its factual confirmation. There has been times where he even contradicted him self later because obvously the story evolves and certain elements of his manga become more immportant then he initially realized.

Yup, Oda did confirm in an SBS that those on Klahador's fit, are in fact, golden pieces of shit. As for Jango's pharaoh chin thingy, Oda said in another SBS that it's the base of a mushroom that he ate the cap of. It sprouted in his chin after he went on for a long time without bathing, as Oda said. Really adds to his "I'm not a weird guy" catchphrase.

Yep the Boy who cried wolf is the inspiration for this arc. Also the classic damsil in distress, women trapped in a house is also why i love this story. its very classical in the truest sence like you said a fairy tale. The live action kind of really modernized that and it was protrayed very differently to oda's story. But you will see ALOT of these types of things in one piece. Oda is a scholar of classic literature and thats pretty damn apparent in this arc alone.
