i love this show, but i wouldn't read the manga for it since it's a series about music i feel like it needs the anime version for it to really work. Tho if the publisher would release a version of the manga with a disc/sd/link containing all the songs played in the volume, that would be dope.

yeah idk about the manga but the anime is sure a very feel good anime, which is more of my type than maybe somethin like nhk (which I put on pause cause it was too relatable :) )

don't know if someone has already pointed it out to you guys, but Hiroi is actually based on a real bassist/vocalist, Margaret Hiroi. There is even a music video from her band, 88Kasyo Junrei, that is directly referenced in the manga, so I don't know if it would be nice to set her as "a bad example" for the protagonist lol btw talking about inspirations, the members of Kessoku Band are all named after the members of Asian Kung-Fu Generation (you probably know them): Masafumi "Gotou", Kensuke "Kita", Takahiro "Yamada" and Kiyoshi "Ijichi"
