thats actually more interesting. i figured it had more to do with sacrificing his family with the power of geass for the sake of his greater ambition. In which case he was talking about Lelouch. Since the Emporer did a similar thing in order to rise to where he is today

What the hell are you talking about? Charles put 2+2 together and was praising Lelouch for using geass on Euphy to commit genocide. Charles knows geass is the only way gentle Euphy would behave like that. How did Charles know Lelouch had geass you may ask. Well if V2 and Marianne knew Lelouch had geass then Charles would learn that information from them.

What does that have to do with the emperor saying you are worthy of being my child? Even if Clovis told Charles Lelouch killed him that doesnt convey anything beyond that so it stands that Charles is praising Euphy who was presumed to be weak as worthy killing 11’s

When the Emperor conversed with Clovis he obviously must have asked Clovis who killed you. Clovis must have told the Emperor, Lelouch killed me. Zero claimed to have killed Clovis so it is implied the Emperor learned Lelouch is Zero from talking to Clovis earlier in Season 1.

I always took the line from the emperor saying you are worthy of being my child as him referring to Euphy not lelouch because I dont believe the Emperor knew Lelouch was zero yet
