It's unfortunate, but I'm not here to wax poetic about the hateful attitude and dehumanizing stance our patreon takes towards erotic artists (although a part of me really, really wants to.) Not going to lie, I shed some real tears. It hurts to have hundreds of hours of work swept away into the void as if it never existed.
I encourage all of you who like my art and want to continue to support me to stay with me here as I weigh up my options. I'll send you e-mails and messages to keep you informed about what I'm doing next in terms of where I'm going to platform or relocate, if necessary.
For those of who you choose to leave at this time or withdraw your support, I understand. I won't take it personally. I understand the value of money in these difficult times, and I respect your time and energy. Art is, after all, a luxury, and you are paying for a service that has been momentarily disrupted.
For those of you who want to stay and ride this out as I salvage the remains of my "tent," I'm grateful to you. Thank you. This small income means a great deal to me, both as a way for me to make my way through the world, and as confirmation that my art, and by extension, my life, has value to other people. This is not something I've experienced much in the world. In many ways, it's still alien to me. But I *like* this feeling.
I know some of you might scoff at the idea of a hundred dollars a month making a substantial difference for a person, but I promise you, it means more to me than I can possibly express. When you have nothing, you learn to see the true value in *everything.* Does that sound tacky and pretentious? Sure, but it doesn't change the reality of the experience. You have no idea how grateful I am to you, and how much fun I've already had in the short time I've been posting and sharing. In no small way, you have already saved my life.
Erotic art is one of the most intimate glimpses at the naked psyches of a creator. BDSM art is often a sensitive and nuanced exploration of personal and cultural ethics, morality and sexuality, viewed through deliberately distorted and contradictory lenses. Through these fictions, real human beings can connect with like minds, sharing odd pleasures and finding contentment in this strange and often painful life. I promise I will do all I can to continue creating authentic, uncensored art from my life and experiences as I've always done, as is my inalienable right as a human being. Thank for you accompanying me. You guys are absolutely the fucking best. I'll find a way and a place to pitch up a new "tent" as soon as I'm able. I'll keep you all informed through discord, messages and e-mails.
