Plans for July
🕑 Added 2020-06-30 00:48:19 +0000 UTCThe rare public/not patron-only post, but I don't want someone to join up next month, expecting one thing and getting another. We will not do the normal requests and color poll next month. I'm going to go straight from finishing page 1 of the Clovis/Brutus/Carver mini-comic into work on page 2. After that I'm going to try and wrap up a commission I've had simmering on the back burner for far too long - it's nearly done, but I keep only being able to pick away at it a little bit each month, and I'd just like to wrap it all up and deliver it. At the end of the month, if there is time, I'll start doing request sketches. These will be added to August's sketches (where we resume normal operation) when it comes to the August color polls. August's theme, like every year, will be Krystal Appreciation Month stuff.
Why? Well, given the overwhelming votes for this mini-comic, I thought it'd be a shoe-in for winner next month, too, so I am assuming you guys don't mind skipping the poll, and it would also be a shame if it lost and the comic was left half-done. But I've also been trying and trying to get back on schedule, and not making it. Nothing says I actually have to deliver the finished color pic in the month it was voted on, but that's still the goal I set for myself, and I like coming into each new month fresh - not with unfinished obligations hanging over my head even after crunching on a pic for a week. So I hope you'll excuse the deviation from the normal schedule.

Yep, makes sense. I for one love the 2-page comic, and am happy to hear you're taking time to carry it through. Looking forward to it.

I think that's a solid plan. The comic, while fantastic, is something like 7-10 full body shots depending on how you count it, plus some closeups. That's vastly more than what's normal for a coloured piece per month.
