When the dawn paints Gotham’s horizon in pale hues, it is time to return home, to seek refuge in the fleeting calm of the early morning. Nights can be endless for a vigilante in a city consumed by chaos, but this time, the darkness had granted him a brief respite. Red Robin crossed the threshold of his apartment, the weight of exhaustion pressing on his shoulders, and let himself sink onto the couch, ready to lose himself in well-earned rest.
However, he was not surprised when, upon opening his eyes, he found Nemo there. It wasn’t unusual for him to intrude on his sanctuary, though his presence usually foreshadowed trouble. Red Robin sat up cautiously.
But that night, something was different. His gaze held no challenge, only a silent truce. His body, at ease, seemed to seek closeness rather than confrontation. He approached slowly, deliberately, and when he was close enough, his fingers brushed against Tim’s mask with the softness of a caress. A velvety whisper traced along his cheek.
—Do you want to sleep with me?
Heat rose to Red Robin’s cheeks, but he remained firm, refusing to yield so easily to the invitation.
—With the masks or without them? —he replied in a steady voice, alluding to what divided them, to the shadows that defined their paths.
Nemo did not answer with words. Instead, with an almost deliberate slowness, he began to remove Tim’s mask, studying every shift in his expression, as if silently asking for permission. Red Robin felt his pulse quicken, but he kept his breathing steady. His hands, hesitant at first, found their way to Nemo’s waist—a subtle yet undeniable response.
Nemo smiled gently, understanding his acceptance. And then, unhurried, he leaned in, sealing that silent truce, that unspoken promise, with a kiss only they could understand.
That night, Nemo led him to the bedroom— a space he already knew well, yet somehow, it felt different this time. There was no urgency, no power play, only a silence heavy with meaning.
Drake let the warm water of the shower wash over him, feeling the exhaustion slowly fade from his body. He needed this. But as the steam filled the room, he realized there was something else he longed for— the warmth of another presence beside him. And he wouldn’t deny it.
When he stepped out, dressed in comfortable clothes for the night, he handed Nemo something more suitable to wear. The blue-haired man accepted without hesitation, as if it were the most natural thing in the world. Without another word, they both slipped beneath the sheets, allowing shared warmth to surround them.
No masks. No duties. Just them, letting the rhythm of their hearts find each other in the quiet of the early morning, as Gotham slowly awakened to the light of a new day.

Red Robin cruzó el umbral de su apartamento con el peso del cansancio sobre los hombros y se dejó caer en el sofá, listo para perderse en un descanso merecido.
No le sorprendió , sin embargo, cuando al abrir los ojos, encontró a Nemo allí. No era raro que irrumpiera en su santuario, aunque su presencia solía presagiar problemas. Red Robin se reincorporó con cautela.
Pero esa noche, algo en él era distinto. Su mirada no era la de un desafío, sino la de una tregua silenciosa. Su cuerpo, relajado, parecía buscar cercanía más que confrontación . Se acercó con pasos pausados, y cuando estuvo lo suficientemente cerca, sus dedos rozaron la máscara de Tim con la suavidad de una caricia. Un susurro aterciopelado rozó su mejilla.
—¿Quieres dormir conmigo?
El calor ascendió a las mejillas de Red Robin, pero su postura seguía siendo firme, como si aún se negara a ceder ante aquella invitación.
—¿Con las máscaras o sin ellas? — respondió con voz contenida, aludiendo a lo que los separaba, a las sombras que definían sus caminos.
Nemo no respondió con palabras. En cambio, con una lentitud casi deliberada, deslizó la máscara de Tim, observando cada matiz en su expresión, casi como si esperara su permiso. Red Robin sintió el pulso acelerarse, pero su respiración se mantuvo constante. Sus manos, titubeantes al principio, encontraron la cintura de Nemo en una respuesta sutil, un reconocimiento tácito.
Nemo sonrió suavemente al comprender el gesto. Y entonces, sin prisas, se inclinó hacia él, sellando en un beso esa tregua muda, ese pacto secreto que solo ellos entendían.
Esa noche, Nemo lo guió hasta la habitación, un espacio que ya conocía bien, pero que en esta ocasión parecía distinto. No había urgencia ni juegos de poder, solo una quietud cargada de significado.
Drake se dejó envolver por el agua tibia de la ducha, sintiendo cómo el cansancio del cuerpo se disipaba poco a poco. Lo necesitaba. Pero mientras el vapor llenaba el baño, comprendió que había algo más que anhelaba: el calor de otra presencia junto a él. Y no lo negaría.
Al salir, con ropa cómoda para el descanso, le ofreció a Nemo prendas más adecuadas para la ocasión. El peliazul las aceptó sin objeciones, como si aquello fuera lo más natural del mundo. Sin más palabras, ambos se deslizaron bajo las sábanas, permitiendo que el calor compartido los envolviera.
Sin máscaras. Sin deberes. Solo ellos, dejando que el latido de sus corazones se encontrara en la quietud de la madrugada, mientras Gotham despertaba lentamente a la luz de un nuevo día.
