The flickering light of the abandoned warehouse barely reached the cage. Rusted metal bit into Jason’s wrists, strained tight against the cuffs, and his red helmet lay on the floor, just out of reach.
Red Hood spat on the ground. Out of habit. Out of defiance.
He didn’t like the sound of the boots approaching. Too slow. Too deliberate.
“I thought you liked the quiet, Red Hood,” Y/N murmured, stopping in front the cage.
Jason looked up, a crooked smirk playing on his lips—one that didn’t quite match the involuntary shiver running through him.
“Don’t you have better things to do than watch me sweat?”
Y/N chuckled—low, amused, like they were savoring the moment.
“They don’t pay me to watch. They pay me to make sure you don’t escape. What happens in between… well, that’s just a perk.”
The silence stretched between them, taut as wire. Jason held their gaze. He knew fear only worked if you let it.
“Come closer,” he rasped, voice rough with venom—and something deeper, darker.
Y/N leaned in slightly, like a predator testing the edge of its cage. Their shadow spilled over the bars, long and distorted.
“Careful what you wish for, Jason.”

La luz parpadeante del almacén abandonado apenas iluminaba la jaula. El metal oxidado cortaba contra muñecas de Jason, tensas por las esposas, y la máscara roja yacía en el suelo fuera de su alcance.
Red Hood escupió al piso.Por costumbre, por desafío.
El sonido de las botas acercándose no le gustó. Demasiado lento. Demasiado tranquilo.
—Pensé que habías dicho que te gustaba el silencio, Red Hood —murmuró Y/N, deteniéndose justo frente a la jaula.
Jason alzó la mirada, la sonrisa torcida en su rostro contrastando con el temblor involuntario de su cuerpo.
—¿Y tú no tenías algo mejor que hacer que quedarte mirando cómo sudo?
Y/N rió. Bajo, suave, como si disfrutara el juego.
—No me pagan por mirar. Me pagan por asegurarte que no escapes. Lo que pase entre medias… bueno. Eso es un bonus.
El silencio entre ellos se tensó como un hilo de alambre. Jason no rompió el contacto visual. Había aprendido que el miedo sólo se ganaba si lo cedías primero.
—Acércate, si te atreves —susurró Jason, voz ronca, cargada de veneno y algo más primitivo.
Y/n se inclinó, apenas un poco, como un depredador tanteando el terreno. Su sombra cayó sobre la jaula, larga, distorsionada.
—Ten cuidado con lo que deseas, Jason .
