Kageyama isn't wrong, and neither is Hinata. Kageyama wants Hinata to become a better overall player by working on all the other skills he's mediocre at, and Hinata wants to sharpen his one ability to the absolute limit.

Hey, hey, hey!

Ye kageyama's new set is different than a normal one. His weird sets were going super fast so they were hard to hit. His new toss is still gonna go fast, but because of the backspin it adds to it, the toss will slow down by the time it reaches the spiker. A normal toss is much slower than the one they try to develop

the new set is not slower, it is the same quick speed but with crazy backspin to create a moment at the spikers point of impact before it drops straight down

btw, suga, kageyama and coach ukai are all setters. So its only natural that they agree with kageyama, regarding the new quick attack and quick adjustment. Also dont worry, you will experience death very soon in haikyuu xd

HEY HEY HEY
so i thought you guys might get confused about kageyama's new set. it definitely is not a fundamental thing or something that we've seen before. coach ukai senior thinks that this is a 1st tempo attack just from hearing about it but he doesn't realise that it's much faster than that. anyways, just keep that in mind for the next episodes. thanks!
