Yeah like you said I LITERALLY cannot think of any justification for cutting those. Yeah my parents absolutely love anime both of their favorites are naruto and I was thinking of making a YouTube channel for parents reaction but honestly at this point I’ve showed them way too much of the classic ones😔 (so far every one youve reacted to lol) and he also was in love with the maturity aspect of Mai and Sakutas relationship because he says it’s fascinating that young troubled people can overcome so many hurdles if they just spoke to each other. So not only was he dissatisfied with the lack of a kiss but it cheapened the relationship sooooo much when in the light novel it marked a new benchmark in there relationship smh

its really unfortunate that they would cut kissing scenes. Its kind of annoying and dumbs the show down since the main thing I appreciated was how mature and matter of fact they were abotu their relationship. I honestly don't know why they would do that other than baiting people to watch the movie or read the books. idk also you got your dad to watch fricking bunny girl senpai?

I always hate incest in anime and I thought that’s the route they were going for here but I realized her brother complex stems from the fact that he’s her only beacon of hope it’s just heartbreaking. Also THIS is extremely annoying and even my dad complained about this but the anime cut 2 SCENES of Mai and Sakuta kissing for whatever reason i really don’t know why cuz like you two said they have such a mature relationship
