Interesting!
Michael Moore
Magi is my favorite anime of all time. those golden butterflies are called rukh. Basically they are a entity that allows people to channel magic. a "magi" is loved by the rukh.

I'd love to see season 3 and 4 but the popularity needs it to sky rocket up... :(
Chaolao
Indeed, and i think the manga has an completed story after season 2. Even with the flaws it has.

I enjoyed this series but wasn't great, but its one of those that looking back on stands out a lot and just was special.

The Sinbad series is a prequel of sorts
Friedsheep .
Magi was kind of populair when it originally aired but it lost that popularity as newer anime came out. It's one of the anime I've always been surprised to see no reactions too, I think it's really solid but I can also see why it has been overshadowed in later years. Personally I really love this anime tho

The glowing bird things are called the Rukh and are the power system and source of life in the world. There are light and dark Rukh similar to how the Force works in Star Wars. Also, the Sinbad spinoff is actually a prequel for the main story.
