Important Announcement (About Discord)

Hello! Thank you always for your support. Here is a very important announcement.
Starting from 2024, I have decided to experimentally change the way to access videos.
I will explain the changes and provide a guide, so please read until the end.
1. Changes
- New videos will now be uploaded directly to the Discord server I operate. (Videos will continue to be uploaded to MEGA as before, but there will be a delay of several days compared to Discord.)
- To get early access to videos, you will need to connect to the Discord server from my Patreon page. (Details to follow)
- I will observe the situation for 1-2 months, and once I determine that the transition to Discord is sufficiently advanced, the MEGA links will no longer be available from the Patreon posts.
2. Guide
(1). Please create a Discord account. (Email verification is required)
(2). Follow the guide from the membership tab on my Patreon page to connect to Discord. You will receive an invitation from my server.
(3). Roles will be automatically assigned according to your membership tier, allowing you to view channels.

2024年から動画へのアクセス方法を試験的に変更することにしました。
変更点とガイドに分けて説明しますので、最後までお読み頂きますようお願いいたします。
1. 変更点
- 新しい動画は今後、私が運営するDiscordサーバー内に直接アップロードされます。（今まで通りMEGAにもアップロードされますが、Discordよりも数日遅れがあります。）
- 動画に早期アクセスするためには私のPatreonのページからDiscordサーバーへ接続する必要があります。（後述）
- １～２カ月様子をみて、Discordへの移行が十分進んだと私が判断した時に、MEGAリンクはPatreonのポストから利用できなくなります。
2. ガイド
(1). Discordのアカウントを作成してください。（メール認証を完了させてください）
(2). 私のPatreonページのメンバーシップタブからガイドに従ってDiscordに接続してください。私のサーバーからの招待を受けられます。
(3). メンバーシップのTierに応じてロールが自動で付与され、チャンネルが閲覧できるようになります。

Providing a video less than five minutes long with a file size near 1GB is more due to a lack of encoding knowledge by the creators than a consideration of quality. Even when offered at the sufficient quality, such works should rarely exceed 500MB. However, I occasionally exceed this too, which means there is still room for optimization in my encoding method.

Thank you for your advice. With Nitro, Discord allows uploads up to 500MB, so it can be a sufficient file host for me. I have been concerned about using Mega for a while, and this is a desperate experiment as a result of my worries. I will retract it if fewer people join the server than expected.

You'll likely end up just posting the MEGA links in the discord, like everyone else does. Discord is not a very good filehoster. I'm not sure what motivated this, but I recommend thinking carefully about what your priorities are.

Fair enogh, my only concern would be discord limitations to upload files in best quality, wonder if that would affect the end porducs, thanks for your hard work !
