Pandemic times are anxious, isolated times and part of the fallout has hit my deviantArt site. Some folks have been setting up various flavors of mockery accounts to "watch" me with. FOR. YEARS. I imagine these mf'ers make up a quarter of my 3,708 "watchers". I've pruned a lot from the list, but there'll be another zombie horde by next weekend and I'm over it. I can't even hover over a profile anymore, much less open some deviant's page.
I don't think that I'm popular or edgy enough for this kind of attention and I reject rivalry and competition in an erotic art form that celebrates abundance and excess.
It's completely demotivated me from thanking people for watching, and often has an impact on my creativity. Up until now, I've been silently bearing it, but lately I just can't and I'm almost set to quit deviantArt, which of course will impact my Patreon campaign. I appreciate the financial support and I treasure the few decent online friendships I've made over the years, so I'll likely always have this place going in some form. It'd be sad for me to see it become an archive and tip jar, though.
So, if you are an adult subscriber who happens to draw and write like a 13-year old, and/or likes to mock all the posts and profile info I've deleted, let me know your deviant ID and I'll look into unblocking you, or find colorful new ways of expressing the way I feel about your impact on my social media experience. If you like to dress up in bad drag with couch cushions stuffed underneath and post pics of it online, you can just fuck right the hell off.
