Update March 2023
🕑 Added 2023-03-31 23:10:47 +0000 UTCHi! Last month I released the 4D Toys update and made the video for it. I made the video much faster than I'm used to... it took 3 days, compared to the "Wall" video which took maybe 3 weeks! This was because back then I had never really made videos before, but also because I wanted to really make sure it was perfect, so I tested it on many people beforehand. I think I also had to program more of the 2D/3D mode for it. Anyway, I'm happy that I'm much faster now. I think the video is high quality as well... it's not like I'm skipping on it. So I am hoping to make videos more frequently from now on.
Releasing updates always take time because of all the grunt work that goes into them. But I am happy to have shown I'm alive and working hard, ahah.
I also released the Windmill video to the patreon! If you think it's cool, you have seen *nothing* yet!
Then, as I was saying before, I keep focusing my work on the beginning section of Miegakure, trying to really get it to a state where I would be happy to call it done. I fixed many issues. They come up because there are a lot of mechanics, and each of them brings a set of issues. I focused on a section where you are in a Japanese-looking shrine/temple complex.
As I was fixing something, I added a couple levels at the very end of the game. There was a very hard level (maybe the hardest in the game) which I always thought was possibly hard in an unfair way instead of a fun way. So I added other levels, which somehow help to make it more fair. It's hard to explain without spoilers!
On the art side, collision for the buildings is like basically done! So now we will improve a couple buildings which we made long ago, because they don't match the quality of the rest of the game (for example, the Japanese windmill from the trailers).
We also keep making a lot of progress on characters! Right now, for the characters I estimate at most two months to get to the point where we could decide to be done, and maybe make a few more characters if we wanted, but we could also ship without doing that? The game itself is still further away.

Oh... this makes my heart skip a beat! I had to double check to make sure that this wasn't posted today (April fools!) but no... I'm almost certain 16 hours ago, was... let me do some research... it was just turning over to April 1st in Germany ๐, hmmm.... I don't know where you're located, lol
The end is in sight!
