About 2024 and 2025

I would like to take a moment to reflect on 2024 and talk about what's to come in 2025
2024 has been really crazy around here. We started off this year with my first try at producing an animation with several scenes involving one of our most beloved gacha waifus: Eula! The support on this animation has been tremendous, bigger than I ever expected. For that I would like to thank all of you! I learned a lot with this project but it also had some unexpected repercussions.
After Eula I thought I'd make a small animation to chill out a bit so I started sketching an idea I had for Anis and Helm from Nikke. However, I ended up adding more and more things to it and it became much bigger than I initially intended. I basically ended up wanting to produce something even better than Eula, something bigger, with more scenes, etc... and I ended up burning out myself a bit.
So I decided to work on the Grace animation to refresh my mind. I ended up adding more to it again. However I kept it relatively simple with just one intro sequence and one additional loop for the sex scene. This animation was once again very well received by you guys and I was happy with myself for not adding too much! It gave me a nice motivation boost so I continued working on Helm and Anis after that!
Then the crazy ZZZ fever spread out all over the internet, and when Jane Doe came out I fell so hard in love with her so I wanted to sketch a little anim for her. However I again slowly added more and more and more to it.... And the cycle repeated itself. I decided to make a small OC anim to take a breather but I added more and more to it... AND on top of that the main sex loop was SO MUCH more complex to make than I imagined.
So, what now?
I am very unsatisfied with myself for how I managed my projects since I released Grace's animation. I should have focused on one big project and when needing to take a breather from it, only make 1 small loop that'd take two weeks max to complete and then go back to the big project.
I am not used to working on longer projects like animations. I've only been drawing illustrations up until a year ago so I still needed to find my limits.
Furthermore I have come to learn many of the indie animators I admire actually work with assistant(s) so of course it's unreasonable of me to want to work as fast as them. Which means I also needed to learn to keep my own expectations reasonable.
Still, that's no excuse and I have learned from these mistakes.
So, here's our roadmap for the first quarter of 2025:
I will finish my OC animation. I am closed to finishing the art for it. I only need to finish the intro sequences, get the audio from the VAs and then do the editing. I'd like to release the finished version January 20th at the latest.
I finished coloring the sequences from our latest WIP batch so I will show you tomorrow! :DAfter this is done I will continue working on Jane's anim. It is my main project and I want to finish it. I know what I want for this anim and I will stick to not adding any more stuff than what I have planed.
When I will need to work on a smaller project to refresh my mind I will work on the Helm and Anis Double Paizuri scene. Same as Jane, I have defined a clear idea of what I want for that animation.
I might draw some illustrations here and there but I will not start any new animation projects until either of these two is finished
It took me some time (probably too much) to learn what I can and can't do. I know it hasn't been ideal to see so many unfinished WIPs but from now on it will stop. I will prioritze current projects before starting new ones and I will always have a defined vision of the size of a project before starting it. No more unexpected additions to projects.
Final words
I would like to thank you again for the amazing support. Despite me being not releasing much finished content, so many of you stuck around and supported my work patiently waiting for me to release things. I deeply appreciate that and you more than deserve to see finished content. I'm hyped to start 2025 and finally finish all these projects!

Gooned to WIPs? Professional gooner rigth there π I do try to make some unique things, which is fun but also more complicated since I don't really have refs I can follow lol I'm not giving myself any deadlines for Jane and AnisXHelm so no worries, I won't be rushing them at all! I just want to focus these two anims but I will give them as much care as I usually do with the rest of my work! Thank you for the support!~

Yeah I definitely would like to make illustrations but I've been holding off on that for a bit since I'm late on the anims. Trying to uphold my rule of prioritizing current projects haha I might draw a small illust after I am done with the OC anim if I feel I need a break from anims for a couple of days but it's not confirmed yet, I'll see how I feel

Thank you, I appreciate the patience a lot! But I do think I need to eventually finish the projects I start, it's always more fun to see everything cleaned up and in colors haha Can't wait to continue the double paizuri too tbh!

Uhh, I'm just gonna be straight up, as someone who's gooned to just your WIP before lol, I think you put alot of effort into your art style and um...making really "creative" & hot scenes both animation wise and just drawing wise...I think having a solid road map like this is great and I stand by it but if the work isn't up to your standard even to meet the deadlines of this road map you've set out for yourself, then as a viewer imo, it is what it is, I wouldn't beat yourself up if you end up going quality over quantity route next year π β€οΈ

Glad you found your limits. Always good to achieve for greatness but don't rush yourself. Excited to see the new animations with the refreshed min set. Hopefully we'll still see art mixed between the animations too. They what made me a fan in the first place the animations are the cherries on top!

Take as much rest as you need! Animations take time and you will get there eventually. Canβt wait to see the double paizuris!
