As anger as they are going to be i dont think they will do anything too drastic like use the experience draining on him. They might make it widely known how the ritual works seeing as it seems to be one of the Paths main source of power and a bit of propaganda to allude to it working on humans too and can the path prove that they dont use it on enemies they capture.

Knowing Brilliant she probably outdid them and figured out how to do it without killing them, instead just leaving them at level 1, or maybe 0 and have some sort of stunted status. Despite the fact that the church priest deserves the worst punishment, I think they might want to do this instead so they don't create a martyr.

Thanks for the chapter! Oh, that went different then I thought but still so good! I'm curious what the colony will do to him. I also wonder if Beyn will be able to convert any of the other priests, or if they will just get sent back with uncomfortable questions/uncertainty.
