Well, here's a long comment. First, a completely subjective opinion: this part of the final arc is quite good. Tyron isn't winning simply because he's a powerful Platinum-ranked necromancer; he's a genius with additional stats that, throughout the story, have been said to be uncommon (I doubt having three Mysteries is common even among soldiers of the Golden Legion). From low levels, he's done things that would be considered impossible at his level, and he's worked hard and in an obsessive way that's very unhealthy. Honestly, I highly doubt anyone else at Platinum level could do even a fraction of what he does. I hope to see that reflected in the development of other necromancers. I read a comment a while ago that said Stennis has romantic feelings for Merigold, and until reading this chapter, I didn't think that could be true. I honestly didn't expect that. If Tyron wins—and I'm sure he will, although perhaps not the crushing victory he's hoping for—I'm eager to see how both the Rebellion and the Empire react to his victory.

It's looking like Tyron will only win if Stennis takes a hit meant for Merigold

I like him as a human. Also if he converts I think he is going to lose one of his sub-classes. Not sure how that will play out.

My only question is, will Tyron become a Lich? It feels like he's already too advanced in necromancy to convert himself into a mere Lich...

CentaureHeart

Well that was bound to happen. I'm susprised she didn't do that sooner.

Tyrone's only real way I see of beating similar strength opponents is literally forming walls of bodies so thick they can't get to him and swarming them like ants with a thousand tiny bites til eventually the curses, nicks, and exhaustion of the living are ground into dust before the infinite hoard of the undead orchestra. He's not going to have enough left to do that by the end it seems

Tyron is perfectly suited for fighting the golden legion, (number and weaker then him). But i feel like he is missing an oomph, a powerful killer move, to take on someone like Stennis. I just don’t see him winning against a platinum. But then again when Tyron was gold, i don’t think there were any golds that could take him on so maybe I am overestimating Stennis’ strength.
