chris

imagine him using his capability for creating or merging magic with death magic + death magic bolt + storm cloud. sounds pretty cool and helpful in some ways, could possibly use that to enhance or speed up the saturation of death magic in his minions. :)

chris

also laurel and others r on the way giving him the capability to make weapons for her and the others. also deaths grasp being used right b4 he makes them a pin cushion is alot of help, which is y death magic or bows is such a difficult choice and the question of which he will need more b4 his next lvls.

Nidi

Then your out of fucking luck -> Then you're out of fucking luck

DeadSlime

I would imagine bone weapon shaping will eventually lead into bone weapon enchanting so increase damage. Or add other effects like poison, paralysis, blindness and other negative effects to a weapon.

Edgy Flame

Ok the story lost me for a little tbh but with Rufus and the hunting party development I like where it’s going again AND THANK THE LORDS HE TOOK LIFE DRAIN. I’m still holding out for when he gets royally fucked or something terrible happens to him and he picks some nasty skills

Rahsheem Reid

I think his long game is what it he is looking into, while still adding depth too his roster. … with things like rift kin and vampires around who know maybe giants and werewolves could be there also.... bone shaping could be used in many ways in the future. He can find out how too use them on monsters and creatures alike while also shaping it too his liking. I always imagined a huge mass of bones shaping too his liking moving into defense and offense against masses of slayers countering with death magic and bone walls. I agree about the death magic he should lvl that up quite a lot against the young slayers coming after him.

Gonvas

Drain life and death's grasp aren't melee xD Drain life lets him heal if he strikes a living foe with a dmg spell. Death's Grasp is an offensive spell, probably CC effect.

Earnest

In retrospect if bow shaping is likely to give him the insight to shape bones as he pleases it may be solid

Earnest

It don't see why he is interested in bone shaping. Seems like it does very little long term as he can probably learn to shape bone or buy/steal bows. Improving skeleton armor sounds like the safe play cause you can't think long term if you're dead. If he is being more aggressive it feels like advanced death magic + death grasp is his best choice. Advanced death magic hits his fundamentals just like he wants, and death grasp gives an immediate offensive application of death magic he can probably work from to learn new death magic spells. Side note it seems like dealing with a single powerful target is his biggest weakness at the moment and bows don't help with this as much as a stronger death's grasp does.

Merf

He is still technically grave robbing. He’s not taking the bodies after all. Just their bones.

Rahsheem Reid

I agree w you and especially about the last paragraph. After learning that he should be able too combine a few of his spells together too create synergy and spells above his current class.

Tyrunex

Maybe they paid enough for antibodysnatchercages on their graves like in early scotland

Runaway_Cactuar

I guess we'll see in the spell description, but my impression is that the spell is either melee ranged or very short ranged and wouldn't work against kiters. I could be wrong though.

PalmTrees

Grave robbing is where you dig up the grave and steal any possessions buried with the deceased. Body snatching is where you just take the corpse. In colonial era America grave robbing was a crime but body snatching wasn't, as the body did not actually belong to anyone.

TargetDrone

actually, death grip is a rather smart choice... his bane are speedsters, who just evade his boney boys and go directly for him ok kite his skellies... now, with a CC at hand, those become a lot more manageable, entangle one, and suddenly his boys can smash them. CC is a godsend for a class like him. edit: especially considering a certain ranger might be gunning for him, preventing her from kiting his boys while sniping them and him will be quite beneficial.

Rahsheem Reid

I think that the next change is at 40. I like the choices he is making. Him expanding his range of death magic spells let’s him go deeper and possibly find more ways too utilize his classes and skill set.

David Burchfield

Speaking of level 30(Or whenever his next class evolution is, I forget the pattern in this system) it seems like with his focus on the fundamentals mentality, advanced death magic would have been a better fit than Death's Grasp (still I understand needing some varied tools for his casting).

Runaway_Cactuar

Yay! Drain Life is on the menu, boys! Although if I knew I was getting Drain Life, I wouldn't have gotten Death Grip. You really only need 1 melee skill as a nec and Drain Life is the better one. But hey, maybe he can dual-wield them haha

Rahsheem Reid

He would have too suppress/dominate their mind which he is not fond of.

Rahsheem Reid

I’m definitely seeing the mad mage start too form with Ty. I’m interested too see him hit 30 I think he will gain a new mystery or a sub class. Side bar.. I think him robing graveyards is where he gets caught up. The rookie slayers will check those places first and will mostly be the way they find the area he is in, if they find him first. I still see Ty making out like a bandit. After the graveyard and the rookie slayers come for him. Sb: does anyone have a count on what his most amount of minions at one time are?

Thunderhoof

How does the mind siphon work? He gets a big ass straw, stabs it in the head then drink the pink noggin juice?

Ricky Kukowski

kind of agree. also remember there is the option to increase raise dead cap to 30 which is also huge to me. on the other hand I think that an item creating spell and an actual death magic attack spell will really enable him to branch out. with repository he can probably create enchanted or even intelligent items that aid his intelligent skeletons. How many different things he can manuever death magic to do after gaining a single spell to base his spell crafting on. it's not so much what these to spells do, but what he'll learn from them and be able to develop on his own from having them. but yes I would have liked to see him raise the cap of both his death magic and raise dead. to 20 and 30 respectively. edit: also I think the enhanced bone armor is absolutely stupid for him as he should be able to modify that spell to enhance the bone armor on his own. this is a glaring weak point for his consideration as it seems he's really barely spent any time trying to figure out how to make it better on his own.

Thunderhoof

I am the bone of my sword

ZaneofBane

How is mind Siphon not desirable? It would allow him to gather information safely (and potentially avoid enemies...)

CentaureHeart

Pretty sure they are in the Western Province. You wrote Eastern when talking about Magnin. Thanks for the chapter! I wonder when Tyron will get a new Mysterie

nicoxyz

Did his other skills increase their level?i After what he had done should't Raise the dead and the other skills gained some levels

Littleme02

Yeah it seems like something he could easily learn himself, bows might be tricky but swords should be easy if he can mold the bones somehow. Especially since the skill system seem to be very happy when he bypass it

CMGreenspon

I think the bone decision conflicts with his previous decisions to try and work things out himself a bit... In previous chapters he didn't want boosts to skills he could develop himself and this seems to be exactly one of those. Choosing advanced death magic seems much more in keeping with his previous strategy

stubs

The crepify ability sounds like a spell to turn ppl into crêpes
