chris

pretty sure that was made clear and u r dyslexic or something to see something that isnt there :/

chris

b4 i read further im gonna bet on him getting death sense, been hoping his death magick - attuned to death, would give him that in later lvls, it might but much better to make sure right now, tho death would nice too tho if nothing better comes along which there likely will. id say death eater should b his lvl 10 feat choice. :D well aww well, hopefully his lvl 10 choice will still b deatheater. the more i read and thought about it, even if it has a minimal function itll still b rly good to start with and especially if it grows stronger as he grows stronger or at least it becomes more effective when taken at later lvl. :)

kalada William-jumbo

Because he hadn’t officially leveled up yet

Rubeno

It sounds bombastic but in truth it' has niche use.

ARHHH

It stated that all skills are much harder to level without a class, but after getting a class EVEN NON class skills takes months what took years before (not directed said but was inferred when it explained that skills take years before you get a class compared to weeks after getting a class (it was referring to all skills therefore non-class skills is included in that)

This chapter is a bit of a disappointment, really. I can and I did enjoyed it, but too many minor details were wrong or changed, or inconsistent to the point that it interrupted the flow of the chapter as a whole and what's more ... those interruption were in the "status" menu, the whole focus of the chapter which made it even more obvious and disappointing. Just for recap - Necromancer class level 4 - should be 5 - Death magick is missing from Necromancer skills altogether - Pierce the Veil is lowered from level 3 to level 2, why? - The globe of light is level caped and lowered from level 8 to level 5 with MAX written behind it, while the addition is explained by mentioning that generic non-class skill are maxed at level five ... but that kinda doesn't make sense, because this is a spell not a skill, distinction made by the status, and one generic skill, which does have level 5 - arithmetics, doesn't have the MAX written behind it ... that's just inconsistent And while we're at it, why are skills and spells (obviously) level capped at all? It's already mentioned that levelling non-class-related skills is incredibly slower compared to class-related ones. I think it was something like "to get to level five in swordsmanship can take 4 years and more for someone with class, which isn't related to swordsmanship as in opposition to swordman who can do it in 4 monts", so why to cap them at all? It seems only like a devise for the Skilled feat to be more meaningful, which wasn't necessary I think, even without the level cap it would mean speeding the leveling of the chosen now class-related skills, which would have been a clear benefit. And again while we're at it how does tyron level these generic skills and spell so fast? Magick bolt from level 1 to 4 in month, and from level 1 to 3 with butchery . That is not in line with non class related skills and spells or are they somehow related to necromancy??? But back to the point those inconsistencies and mistakes makes it harder to enjoy the story, and if the author does want to make a change it should be more open one, with disclaimer on the begging or ending maybe or at least change those elements through the whole story and not only the new chapter.

Noooo death eater seem most op to me though

Conor lennon

IDK I assume there are a lot of graveyards and old battlefields and I mean popular rift spots probably have a lot of bodies built up. Given the way they are talking about rifts is that a lot of people are dying near them. So I imagine there is a lot of bones near rifts from like farmboys and like getting killed. He could always go for the quality over quantity to an extent. I mean have the fodder like usual but have a bunch of expert skeletons and creations

stubs

He probably probably copies the Stat Sheet from previous chapters to keep the format and mistake got copied over. It was the same on his Status in Chapter 1 as well

Rubeno

Skellies will never be obsolete since killed enemies almost always will have skeleton to use. It's better to dig one well deeply. He lacks right now skeletons to raise anyway. Besides he can choose efficient minions feat in the future anyway

Rubeno

He doesn't have enough supply of human skeletons to raise many minions anyway. Besides he can get quantity from his already inflated stats or improvements in raise dead spell. It's better to dig one wel well.

Rubeno

Sense death will only allow sense it from afar. Mc already can understand and perceive death magic via Death Magick skill. It's wasteful choice in the long run because necromancer raises killed enemies not scavenge for them later on. Death Eater too is risky and niche. As for efficient minions it's great but for now Mc has to focus on quality. Quantity can be gotten from improvements in lvls of raise dead

Rubeno

Gotta say, without rift kin winning the war necromancers are fucked. You can only progress if you have bodies of dead humans and with whom will necro fight during years of peace? Burn the village and high level intelligent squad will go after the necro to prevent undead apocalypse snowball.

Runaway_Cactuar

Yeah, I agree with his choice on skelly. I was between that and the efficient minions. The difference being, the latter will never be obsolete- you will always need more minions. But I think Tyron needs some help right now, so skelly would be a great choice.

BubblyGhost

" words every he knew " - everyone Hmm, personally I would've gone with efficiency; hell, mainly based on his own argument. What with the current stress a couple minions has on him, on top of the fact it would be for all further creations. Also I love how hard he's neglecting to confront anathema.

thkiw

I would've taken efficient minions 1 and 2, plus sense death magick and finally death eater. sensing skills are great since they allow the protag to get greater understanding of what he's doing. efficient minions would last him forever, while death eater is just that cool. it scales nicely with sense death.

Seth Cox

Loving having this as a regularly updating novel now

Tyrunex

in the Statussheet the lvl of necromancer is still lvl 4

Tyrunex

spell casting classes most of the times have a focus on int gain which leads to a bigger magick(mana) pool and better casting capability

Al

Aww, wanted to see him be a specter specialist

JoBo12

Is there a reason that Tyrion's sheet always has "Steelhand" as his last name even though his parents are called "Steelarm"?

stubs

Thanks for chap! Really want to see the improvement his minions gain from the Feat. Hopefully he can update existing ones. Typos - "As he muttered the words every*** he knew had learned as a child", everyone learned? - "Necromancer (Level 4***)", Level 5? - "He*** skeletons had a huge" His

Sean Hibbitt

Thanks for the chapter!

Joakim Berube

Do spell-casting classes gain extra magick per level or is it purely stat based?

George Parremore

Zombie Focus 1 should work on zombies, not skeletons
