Possible visual novel concepts

So, something I'm trying to teach myself this past month is GameMaker, and once I feel confident enough working with it, I definitely want to try making a short visual novel/adventure game type thing sometime this year!I don't have anything set in stone at the moment, and things may change heavily, but I'm curious about what you all would find fun/interesting if I were to give this kind of project a try! What character's / POVs would you find the most interesting?
