It really depends on the system - in games like dark souls there's softcaps that make investment past a certain point a luxury. However, in other systems if you don't focus on just one or two stats you fall behind, hard.

Looks quite interesting, I think I'm hooked. Couldn't find anywhere on a map that fit the given descriptions so far though. Are you making the place up or are you using a 'real' place as a starting point?

I like this group and how they are trying to figure things out. In AH so much about the system was never explained because Ilea is a 'Punch my problems in the face first and worry about the details never' kinda lady.

The problem with a bucket brigade vs a quick and stealthy smash and grab is that the bucket brigade leaves several people out in the open for the duration of the brigade exposing the group to a much higher risk of being discovered. With a quick in and out raid, they only really expose themselves to that risk while entering and exiting the building. The opportunity cost is that they are limited to what they can carry in one go, but since they all have packs that's actually a LOT of food, probably well over a hundred pounds of it.

Yep, I'd even argue that this is, so far, much better than the beginning chapters of Azarinth because the author has much more experience under their belt and has had time to plan it out, so there's no pressure.

My opinion : this story is easily as good as Azarinth Healer. Starting this low on the spectrum will also preclude Goku syndrome for a good while.

I hope she doesn't fall into the dump stat trap. Dex 10 would allow her to potentially evade some hits ..especially from the big brutes ....as well as place her own hits better. Some int to better process info as well. Information is life in fights.

That would be a prelude for a true calamity event. Ilea learning that this system has a food slot? Next thing we know, she is hunting down the her system to punch it till the food slot is included in the Elos system too.

Has a heavier feel than Azarinth. Still good and I look forward to how this story will go. I wonder if this is the Earth Ilea came from. I read a lot of stories so I don't remember if this is the one where Ilea being dragged across worlds, in a theory proposed earlier in the story (if I'm thinking of the right story), causing the system to reach her home. If it is the same Earth then I hope we get to see Rory from the first chapter of Azarinth. I don't know why but I've had this obsession in believing that Ilea would get to meet her college friend again.
