I've been really enjoying this, especially since I wasn't in on the ground floor of AH. There were hundreds of AH chapters out when I picked that up so I didn't have to exactly wait to see the rhythm it establishes. I'm liking the "same, but different" nature this one has. For example, all but one person could get slaughtered in the next chapter for all I know (and that survivor doesn't need to be Kate). Something like that's definitely not happening in AH at this point since that's clearly not the story that's trying to be told. I'm intrigued to find out how and where this one's going to go. This one's definitely something I'm keeping on my watchlist for updates and I hope it remains interesting to the author.

She's not really mindless. Just super focused. And powerful. I always thought berseekers were badass. You just point a finger and they destory things while the rest watch. Pretty cool.

I’m really liking this story, and it’s already more promising than most system apocalypse series. It really pulled me in faster than the Leaves story.

yea the MC Kate seems like a smarts ass that just loathes people in general, add the personality problems of a berserker and u have a character I have a hard time supporting. when Ilea gets hurt I'm happy for her cus her resistance will rise, when Kate's gets hurt I feel like the cunt deserves it. even her telling Grey to join her intially, im not sure if that is for his and humanities sake or just for her own incase she needs a meet shield. I love the writing but I really hope the MC gets a personality fix

IMO the sarcasm in the first few chapters felt a bit awkward and dickish, dunno if that's the tone you were going for but it didn't feel quite right to me. I liked the rest of it and will certainly keep reading as much of it as you want to write.

btw, as others have said, I'm very much enjoying The New Thing (tm) (starring Kate). The writing is so different I would never have guessed it was the same author. I particularly liked 15, but that's largely personal pref I presume. (I also happened to think the provisional title AA was just fine, fwliw.)

i think that is kind of the point though. not knowing everything and having to piece everything together is an interesting approach. its simply not for casual reading.

Read through all 14. Phenomenal. Also quite refreshing, not a lot of system survivals I genuinely enjoy and now that I think about it not a lot of system survivals in general.

Thanks was fun G. Only thing I would do in the future is reduce the blurriness / confusion for the reader in Kate's berserker state as it's hard to follow what's happening.

Glad you like it. Some of it is similar to AH but I wanted to have at least some differences. I'll definitely go for a more fantasy feeling as time goes on.

Glad I got around to reading this finally. It's pretty damn intriguing so far, and the characters are on point as usual! Hopefully, this becomes a permanent story down the line if it hasn't been stated yet.

errm...so, instead of letting the folks who saved her and cared for her know she's ok, she goes away from the castle (w/ few monsters) to the town (which was carpeted in monsters). Is she concussed or something? They're going to (rightfully) be pissed at her, and a lot less likely to rely on her after she runs off while on guard duty (leaving a trail of blood).

Pretty sure my MOBA teammates all have her class. Instead of guarding objectives they also chase retreating enemies... Thanks for releasing the chapters this way, it's a lot easier to manage on my phone. (Also Grey better get a ninja class for sneak attacking with a katana like the weeb he is, haha. )
