Ilea shook her head. Spirit summoner. The requirements are pretty high but I think I prefer fighting myself. Plus I already have my ashen copies.

Ilea felt the hair on her whole body stand up. The image of an all seeing eye flashed before her. She felt small and meaningless, shuddering at the sensation before she calmed herself with healing and meditation. She shoved the sensations away and read through the next option.

She smiled. Hmm… yes. This one sounds… acceptable. A little too much mentions of Audur though. Ilea didn’t exactly like the thought of a class evolution based too much on one being alone. Not with all the ones she’s met, fought, and trained with.

Hmmmm. This one sounds pretty good too. The can’t be seen or felt part is a little spooky, but a fully void and space focused class is bound to be mega powerful. Ilea bounced between the dragonforged and void lord evolutions before she continued reading.

Ilea whistled, leaning back as she nearly chose the change immediately. Holy shit that’s a chonker! Still human, space magic upgrades, magic absorption? And the flame of creation. Fuck dragons.

Oh well. Not like I expected anything different, Ilea thought and chose her favorite. The Primordial Arbiter. Though she had to admit that a few of the options could’ve worked for her. Not the Trakoborn however, that one was just silly.

Expending a large amount of mana and health, you can temporarily shift the matter of your flesh itself. Absorb a part of all magic that touches you depending on your understanding and resistance. All regeneration and healing is doubled in this state. Your movements are impaired as your very form is rejected by the laws of reality that surround you.
2nd stage: Resilience bonuses from skills are doubled when entering the Primordial Shift. During the shift, you cannot be moved by anything but your will. Your weight increases ten fold while this spell is active.
3rd stage: The Flame of Creation wills itself into existence, your control and its power increasing dramatically while Primordial Shift is active.

Hmmmmmmmmm… okay. Guess I’m a flesh mage now. Not sure what I think of this with the lack of passing through barriers. But I suppose it has to be strong with the new categories and all the buffs I just got.
The heat still grew, but her ability to resist and store it overwhelmed the surge of power coming from the evolution.

Let the fires erupt, burning away your health in the exchange for devastating power. All of your spells and your body are infused with the Flame of Creation, dealing lingering damage to health, mana, and magical constructs. You are immune to stunning, fear, and shout abilities. Your resilience is increased by 75% [975%]
2nd stage: The pale flame settles within your core. The Fires of Creation now affect enemy health regeneration. This effect is higher for areas directly touched by the Flame of Creation.
3rd stage: Your experience with Fires of Creation allows you to infuse your magical constructs with its effects. For each level in the third tier, the skill’s upkeep is reduced by a static 25 [750] points of health per second and you may sacrifice an additional static 250 [7500] points of health per second to enhance the skill’s effects.

What’s the chan… wait all spells? Are you sure about that super meadow? she asked herself with a wide grin. She knew that a cost reduction of seven hundred and fifty should’ve made the skill entirely free to use but Ilea assumed the base cost had just shot up to infinity.

Active – Fabric Tear – 3rd lvl 30
Shift space to your will, making objects or people appear somewhere else.
2nd stage: Magical constructs are now affected by Fabric Tear. You may change the orientation of the objects you displace.
3rd stage: You may choose two flat areas and connect them through space. At the time of marking an area, it has to be within the range of Fabric Tear. Areas have to be connected within one minute of activating the spell and cannot be further apart than a static ten kilometers. Three sets of connections can be upheld at a time with exponential costs.
Space Magic
The number limit is gone… so I can just move as many things as I want now? As is the cooldown for the third tier. Portals unlocked, and three sets at a time?
Remove the limiters baby, Ilea thought, checking to see if her hair had turned white. It had not, but she supposed the white flames clinging to her body counted to an extent.
[Space Shift] becomes [Reality Warp]
Passive – Reality Warp – 3rd lvl 30
Space wields easier for you, allowing you to unravel its mysteries. Teleportation abilities can be used again three times as fast and you can travel ten times as far. You notice fissures between realms at a distance of 50 [200] kilometers. This distance can vary depending on the size and extent of the fissure.
2nd stage: Prevent enemy teleportation spells within a sphere around you at a radius of 50 meters. You cannot teleport while this skill is active.
3rd stage: Your understanding of space magic grows. You learn to latch on to ongoing teleportation spells with your own teleportation abilities. Long range and channeled teleportation spells have their range doubled and their cooldown as well as cost reduced by half.

Hey wasn’t there a number before for the cooldown? Would’ve been better if it stayed that way, but I suppose I should be able to out teleport most things already. The interruption is an aura thing now. Guess in the end I couldn’t escape becoming partial dragon anyway.
The heat had finally peaked, remaining at a constant burn as the flames continued to form.

Passive – Primordial Flesh – 3rd lvl 30
The flame of creation flows through your veins, increasing your resilience by 50% [700%]. Increases your physical damage resistance by 12% [168%]. Increases your magic damage resistance by 12% [168%]. You won’t be fazed anymore by heavy damage or powerful sources of light and sound. Your natural regeneration can heal any injury.
2nd stage: Your body has withstood incredible damage, endured the hardships of battle. The fires flowing through you have hardened your bones and muscles. Your health is increased by 20% [280%].
3rd stage: Your ability to adapt to your enemy grows. Continued battle against the same foe increases damage reduction against its attacks by 2% [28%] per minute to a maximum of a static 50%. The primordial flesh is released should you reach one point of health. Your remaining mana will be used to create both spatial shields and rapid growths of flesh to prevent death. This effect can only occur once per day.

She looked through the rest of the skill and sighed. I suppose it helps, knowing that there’s a last thing that would prevent my death… even if it sounds fucking disgusting.
Ilea wasn’t sure if she had so easily chosen the class if the flesh magic aspect had been mentioned. From which one of the supposed teachers did that one come anyway?
She assumed it could’ve been everyone, except maybe the Ice Elemental and Trakorov.
One last skill remained.
[Space Awareness] becomes [Space Manipulation]
Passive – Space Manipulation – 3rd lvl 30
You have learned to see and manipulate the ever present spatial fabric. You gain the ability to move anything within the fabric with a mere gesture.
2nd stage: Further understanding of the spatial fabric allows you to manipulate its forces with greater ease and higher intensity. You learn to perceive even the tiniest ripples in space. In the case of active fissures, you find yourself able to peer into the other side. You gain the ability to anchor a spatial pocket to your very essence. Storage increases with the skill’s level.
3rd stage: You have peered through the fabric of space itself and have learned to unravel its intricate structure. You gain the ability to perceive and differentiate magical frameworks and how to manipulate them within your space without failure. You learn how to damage existing frameworks. Results may vary.

I can move stuff? Ilea thought and found a random pebble, raising her hand as she willed it to move. She started laughing when the stone floated up into the air. Flicking her wrist, she made the small rock hit the nearby wall. Her eyes narrowed as she glanced at a larger chunk a few meters away.
Her open palms gripped the framework as she focused and spread her arms. A crack resounded through the hall, the stone ripped in two.
I suppose the voice changer was foreshadowing after all, she thought and looked down at her hands.

That's not sure at all, classes are rewards for fighting adversity, leveling a class when you're already high level may bring waaaay worse offers than what she has now.

Thats a sweet class. I get the feeling that killing 10 4 stars helped a lot with her class selection. Veteran to. Such a shame she didn't have the killed the 10 4 stars for her other two classes, especially the ash one, since it was a bit underwhelming. I would be pretty temped to reset the ash class and prob start anew with fire enhancer if I don't get something absolutely awsome. She would probably have it at 500 in a year or 2

The evolution you get offered seems to be set by the achievements you have at the time you reach the threshold. While the 100% bonuses are a little different, I would expect it's set now. Not 100% sure, though.

Just to add another benchmark. Two cubic meters of steel weigh 16 tonns. Also the human body is about 0.95 tonn per cubic meters. So if you are an fatt/large person in this world and you get an small weight increase skill you pass the requierements.

I love the trolly optional classes so much, especially Eternal Meadows troll class last time, I was reading in the living room and woke up my housemate I laughed so hard. Also made me wonder exactly what kind of random power upgrades she would've gotten had she chose one, though obviously she wouldn't really choose one.
"Has weighed over a ton while having a size of less than two cubic meters" Is this supposed to imply high density? Because soft wood is denser than that.
I think that lv 500 is the minimum to get a fully functional 3rd class. So if you get one before that its supressed and you got some of the advantages of being lv 500.

that's actually very much in line w/ the writing so far; gj on mimicking both the style and system design! (on a related note, i'm impressed the system still works/seems plausible/has no huge issues after this many pages. It's a daunting part of writing anything in this genre; u basically have to do game design and all the normal writing work, or something blows up eventually).
It makes you more resilient, reducing the damage you take. As far as I'm aware we've never gotten a formula for it, so it's hard to say how valuable the 775% she got from this evolution really was. I've always assumed it works where 100% = 1/2 damage, 200% = 1/3rd damage, 300% = 1/4th, and so on, but that's not backed up in the story anywhere. Under that formula going from ~4200% to ~5,000% is roughly 15% less damage taken.

I was thinking about the fact that she has a significant following (100+ people think she's a diety) per the system, and I wonder if she might get a general skill along those lines. Something like: Shadow of False Divinity - Level 1 You have seen too much to believe yourself a god, but there are many who are less convinced. Even if it is a lie, you have the power to make it a convincing one. More importantly you have the intent and capability to respond to those who request your help. You will occasionally gain impressions or feelings of prayers to your name. Save your faithful and watch your following grow, O Lilith. Or not, if that is your will.

Nice. Most exciting plotwise are the boni to magic she does not have! Sounds like a lot experimentation and possibly some generall skills in the next couple hundred chapters :) I also don't think she'll get bonus resistences to magic that her classes give boni to, as cool as that would be. I think that knowledge might just exist because people gain the generall resistance to their own magic as a skill upon gaining their class, like Ilea's Fire Mage class tried giving her heat resistance. Also since most of the mage classes have manipulation as a skill, the damage they get to that element might be mitigated as well, without class boni having an effect, even though it might seem that way. Also now that I write this . . . her gaining those manipulation skills might give her another unexplored defense bonus if nothing else. And I can certainly see her learning them a lot faster with her new boni. Since her experimentation with Ice-Magic-Manipulation in Meadow's realm, I always thought it sad that she never tried getting Fire-Manipulation as a Generall Skill, since she already proved that she could make a flame for 30(?) seconds with inate magic alone since it was a requirement to get her initial fire mage class. Very exited for the future. :)

In my head she’s like a 5’7” woman with toned muscles but not close to bodybuilder level. Would be hilarious watching an escalator instantly break as she steps on it, the mildly overweight guy in front of her like “damn I must be fatter than I thought.”
It is actually not that major a boost because those bonuses are just additive. If it were multiplicative, 100% would be a doubling of healing skills. But in this story it is just additive. Going from 300% to 400% is only a 25% increase (5/4).

Other than the obvious benefits, the bonus to healing magic is pretty significant. The Arcane Eternal bonus to healing magic is only 300%, and The Ashen Titan grants no bonus to healing magic, so another 100% is a major boost to Ilea’s healing magic power. Damn this class evolution is powerful.

So before I acknowledge the most exciting part of this chapter: Spears and limbs are almost tier 2 now and is Deviant of Humanity her first 3rd and 30 general skill? I wonder if she can enhance those like her class ones... Anyway! A lot sillier on the class options this time but Faen Valkyrie was already a pretty out-there class and everything fits nicely into the theme of "classes based on powerful beings she's met." Here's hoping she can pick up a few new skill slots next chapter as I bet there's some cool new schools of magic open to her. :D

I also really liked, from a storywriting perspective (and in-lore logic wise), that all of the non-joke classes had 6 skills at 3rd30 as a requirement. Earlier evolutions, it's too obvious not to choose the ones with such low requirements as not even maxing out all skills, even if their descriptions sound cool.

I really liked the Spirit Monarch class. Summons seem like an interesting thing to explore, and a bit of a unique way of combat. It made it seem like an army too, rather than a few more powerful summons. Commanding an entire army of spirits seems so epic. Soul magic seems fun too. I understand it's definitely not Ilea's style though. I am also a bit sad on missing out with the Dragonforged Flame class, it seemed epic. Who doesn't like dragons, right? But this class definitely fits Ilea's personality best.
Since her Body Enhancement multiplier didn't change resilience from other classes should be the same. She gained 775% from skill changes and multipliers here. Resilience before this should have been around 4200ish, thereabouts. So getting close to 5k. The bigger change was the massive 70% health boost (3. 8/2.2) and the boost to physical resistance.

I am not sure, but some of her skills do reference her "understanding" of schools of magic. I am not sure if her system boosts count twords that understanding, but it does make it clear your resistance to a skill and your understanding of it are different.

Maybe she will be able to unlock the remaining skill/passives of her third class with Core skill points? Should be possible at some point if not theres no point in even showing they are locked, instead they wouldnt even be there. So she has the force, storage, and hover skills all in space manipulation now in addition to its other space awareness effects. This just made this skill worth 4 in 1. Also with the body enhancement category added to it it has become WAY more powerful. The force aspect should also let her move and manipulate her own body. This should let her hover to decrease her weight and not crush the ground she walks on now. It should also let her fly easier with her increased weight and armament armor. Then it could add to her ability to move faster and impact with more force. Lastly, with there being more active uses to this skill it should be much easier to level so she should upgrade this skill immediately. She should upgrade the rest of them as well if she can afford it because they are all ridiculously good.

Ilea's Healing and Reverse healing are Arcane magic in nature, more akin to Reconstruction than Regeneration. It does not rely on natural processes, instead "forces" healing with pure mana. Which is why Ilea can maim someone if she does not know their body structure. Flesh magic seems like a resident evil Lovecraftian horror magic. Accelerating growth and changing properties of the body tissues.

Hmm, does the magic effect of Fires of Creation mean that even her regular healing can do damage? The synergies with her other classes were already insane, but with this evolution she might actually be able to put up a fight against Meadow.
Moving through things was pretty much the main point of Phaseshift, and her new class says that no skills are lost, so I have to agree that she should still be able to move through barriers with the new skill, otherwise she would essentially be losing the pass through barriers skill.
4th tier skills require enhancing all skills of a class and maxing them out again.

The Ice Tear item gives Ice Magic levels, and it's been bugging me that it's kind of dropped off the map. Like, c'mon, do something with that! In a way, I'm glad the class gives that bonus, because it's a sign it wasn't forgotten. Though it might take a while until the story actually gets to it. I mean, the Armaments dropped off for what? A hundred chapters or so?
That is not new. Displacement also affected magical constructs in the 2nd tier.

Draw and quarter people with a handwave, I guess? It's also not entirely clear why she got that (most of the others are pretty clear, I think?). The enhanced space/rift/reality talents and the Force would make me particularly happy, in her shoes. edit: oooh, I wonder if she got flesh from befriending Nes? her bio focused work makes it seem plausible.

I thought flesh would have come from the litch? also, while our lady of benevolence is only around level 300, she is worshiped as a deity and is a friend. I thought the two of them combined to fulfill the category. i didnt know the mindsquid had flesh powers? also, awesome!!!!!!!!! I am curious if she will get new bonuses as she gains more super friends? like when the lightning elemental finally grows up does she get lighting magic increase, or at least specific resistance? speaking of she needs to introduce pierce before her next evolution.

Anyone else notice that the schools of magic that have boosts are all schools of beings that she's befriended (I'm assuming flesh comes from the Enavurin, we know he could manipulate his own blood, why not flesh)? Makes me wonder if she'll gain more if she befriends more beings. I wonder how the harbinger of cake would have worked. It said she wouldn’t loose any skills, so would space perception morph into something like cake perception? I guess the class must be a space magic class so that you can get to the cake faster? Lol.
One interesting benefit to those extra 100%s to Earth / Ice / Lava / Mind / etc is it should make Illea even more resistant to those schools. That was referenced before, where people have an innate bonus against damage / effects that match their classes. So even if there's no skills directly benefiting she's still getting something out of it. The Mind bonus is probably the most useful, but the Ice is most important because it might allow her to successfully hug the Ice Elemental when they meet again.
