I think what you were saying with the planetary chart scene is that we’re the sum of all of our experiences, the good and the bad, and you can’t just “fix” the bad experiences without making yourself a totally different person. Older Jonas (“the stranger”) thinks he needs to be who he is now in order to do… something. So he thinks he has to preserve his own trauma, to make himself the man he needs to be. Let me know if i’m off base, that’s just where it seemed like you were going to me!

I love how despite being incredibly manipulative, Hannah still obviously loves her son. She’s not a psychopath, she has emotional attachments. Very interesting character, I’m glad you love her too!
