Interview with the Vampire was my first R-Rated movie when I was about 8 years old. My uncle thought it would be fine. Little did he know the CHOKEHOLD this franchise would have on me.

Agree with you. I enjoyed the movie version, the story that is when it first came out, but I just could not buy into Cruise and Pitt as vampires.

I agree about the movie. I loved the first book and I couldn't come to terms with the interpretation in the movie.

I still don't know what to think about the movie Interview with the Vampire. In some aspects it was great, especially the costumes, but I couldn't stand the choice they made with the actors. Tom Cruise's portrayel of Lestat was too much like a comedy. I really like Brad Pitt and he was cute in this movie, but to me he was simply NOT Louis. He didn't even look like Louis was descripted in the books. Louis had short, curly black hair in the books and was slimmer and more delicate than Lestat. Jacob Anderson embodies Louis perfectly, Brad Pitt was too strange. Antonio Banderas as Armand was a complete mess. Although they made Armand older in the series and gave him black hair and orange eyes, Assad caught the essence of Armand in a great way. So watching the movie is always difficult to me.

I personally wasn’t that big of a fan of the movie for IWTV but then again I wasn’t a big fan of the first book either… I did find Kirsten Dunst to be the best part of the movie tho

Yeah, as I mentioned before, this is my favorite subscription! I don’t even have to worry about the new content—I just know I’ll like whatever’s coming. 🤣 I’ve actually been putting off Coco for years and haven’t seen The Shawshank Redemption yet, so I’ll be watching those for the first time too! (And I won’t even bring up Interview with the Vampire because you already know how I feel, lol.) 💌
