Only season 1 of True Detective IMO. Maybe season 4. Season 1 is perfection albeit disturbing.

There Isn't much programming ever made for television to equal the quality of True Detective. Everything is so good -- the writing, the acting, the cinematography, there are impressive feats of filming, even the opening credits are haunting. It's written on multiple levels (which, to be honest, not every viewer sees) but in a most brilliant fashion, it's written to be a gritty physical world story, and is exceptional in this way (if someone wants to leave it at that). But for those who like to ponder philosophies, there is abundant material for that. And for the truly curious minds, it contains 'world behind the world' content which is almost a puzzle...a puzzle which grows more complex and interesting every time you revisit it. I guess its obvious what I voted for! 😂

I voted for true detective because season 1 is one of my favorite seasons of television, but serious content warning at least on season 1 of that show. It doesn't show a ton actually on screen but there are much darker themes discussed than even IWTV gets into. (Happy to be more specific but trying to be conscientious of spoilers) It also has some questionable writing of its female characters that is probably my biggest sticking point on recommending the show. Regardless I'd love to see your thoughts on the show and there's a ton to dig into and critique regarding the choices the characters make.

I Had to take the Frank option off to get a good gauge. We are going to do breakdowns for sure but, I did not really get a good feel for what else people may want to watch lmao
